If the scrap is small, say 6" long or smaller, it goes into one container. If it is 6" long or larger, it goes into another container. If it is 1/4 yd or larger, it goes into another container, if it is 1/2 yard or larger, it is folded and then sorter by color and stacked. My strips go in a bin that I try to use daily for strip blocks and also use them for beginning and ending sewing. That way I'm always doing two projects at once. I sort them into plastic covered boxes of various sizes. So far, the most often used size is 2 1/2" squares! Works pretty good.
