Moda Blockheads II

#23 - Broken Windows by Jo Morton

This week, one of our original Blockheads offers a chance to hone your skills piecing half square triangles in this fun 6" block. I chose to keep mine simple with a 3-color red/tan/navy version. Find Jo's instructions HERE.

#24 - Kaleidoscope by Sherri McConnell

I played with this block for a long time before settling on this option, accenting the gold Hole-in-the-Barn-Door block in the center. It's amazing how many ways you can colorize this block to highlight different parts. I wonder what Sherri chose? Find out HERE.

Don't miss my previous blog posts on our KT October Special - Pumpkin Seeds - perfect for fall. And, our first KT & Friends Retreat with my quilting buddies Barb & Mary of Me and My Sister Designs (fellow Blockheads) and Jenny Doan of Missouri Star Quilt Co.

  1. Lynn, your blocks are great! There certainly are a lot of pieces in these blocks. I browsed all of the blogs and was amazed at the variety of designs that emerged based on fabric choices and placement.

  2. Hi Lynn. I just happened across this post while looking at another. It caught my eye because my maiden name was Hagemeier so I had to reach out. Love the blocks and wish I could attend your retreat but alas it is not to be. I'm sure it will be great.
