Happy Valentine's Day! The lovebirds are back after a wonderful long weekend in San Antonio, TX, strolling the Riverwalk, grazing, shopping and enjoying the warmer weather. Of course, the only snow they've had in forever came thru on Sunday while we were there, but it was still better than the wintry mix in Kansas. I'll have a few pics for you later in the week.
To catch up, congratulations to Debbie T - you're the winner of the Pinwheels Mini Table Treats pattern & kit. It will take me longer to get it to you than for you to make it! Ladies in our classes are stitching on binding after just 3 hours - how cool! This week, we're featuring another MTT that has been our new best seller since Fall Market - Spoolin' Around. Bigger than life spools (fused applique) with plaid "thread" (raw edge applique) circle the table topper to create the perfect home decor project for any quilter, sewer or home crafter. Can't you think of a dozen friends who would just love it??? Comment here on your favorite vacation destination by Sunday 10pm for a chance to win the pattern & kit.
I'm about halfway thru the gazillion emails I need to read/respond to, so I'll talk at ya later.
Happy, Happy Valentine's Day! Hug somebody today.

ReplyDeleteLove the table topper!! I have always wanted to make the spool pattern, thanks for the chance. My favorite vacation is anywhere we can go with our camper. Since we are still working it has mainly been to spots in Wisconsin although we did pull it down to Florida a few years ago and stayed on Sanibel Island.(wonderful) When we retire we plan on leaving every year after Christmas with our family and then heading to a different destination each year and stay about 3-4 months.

It has beautiful scenery of the Rocky Mountains of Alberta and great trails for quading for my husband. I get to sit back and do some relaxing hand applique! Life doesn't get much better than than.

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are right at home on board a train so you can just point us in the direction of the nearest one and we'd go sit excitedly in the carriage and anticipate the journey ahead of us. There is no nicer way to spend a few relaxing days journeying and enjoying the scenery as it goes by..old steam trains are our very favourite the sight of clouds of steam, the smell(and taste!)of coal and listening to the rythmic patterns as the train rolls along is just music to our ears. I'd love to take a kit like this one along to make and keep my hands busy.. that would be icing on the cake to me, thank-you for sharing your lovely talent. Grace:) weftandwarp(at)hotmail(dot)com

ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome pattern. Perfect for friends as gifts or as sewing room decor. My favorite vacation spot thus far has been either Alaska (can't beat the beauty of that state) or Savannah. My hubby and I got married in Savannah at the first UMC church ever in this country. Savannah also had meaning for me as my father was stationed at the Air Force base there while in the service. He always talked about how he loved it there and I can see why. Southern hospitality and beauty all around.
ReplyDeleteReally cute pattern. Yellowstone is my favorite vacation destination...would go there every year if I could afford it.
ReplyDeleteSome where warm and not raining!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I took a train ride from St Louis to Flagstaff, Arizona summer before last to pickup our GRANDson to bring him back for the summer. ReplyDeleteEvery year my husband and I go to Gatlinburg TN the week between Christmas and New Year. We rent a cozy cabin and spend our days sitting by the fire-I sew and he reads and we watch movies. It is such a great get-away after the hustle-bustle of the holidays. But, my dream vacation is to go to Hawaii............someday.
