Merry Christmas 25% OFF!

Merry Christmas from KTQ

Our family Christmas was on Saturday with all the kids and grankids, so Robert and I are looking forward to a quiet day at home alone, eating leftovers and digging out from under our major construction mess at the cabin. I've been cleaning up sheetrock dust for a month instead of decorating for Christmas. So looking forward to feathering my nest again soon. Floors go down in a day or two, then it's DONE, DONE, DONE. With shipping delays and damage on materials, it's been a long, slow process that's lasted months instead of weeks. My New Year's gift is a finished house and no more dust - at least from construction!

We'll be closed December 25-January 1st but stop in after the holidays to check out the store. We'll be rearranging and bringing out some good new stuff, awaiting Clara's Garden fabric. Be sure to have plenty of projects to work on when you're snowed in - really or not.

Everyone here at KTQ - Jamie, Joy, Lois, Robert and I - want to wish you all a wonderfully Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year full of quilts! To help feather your stash, don't forget, we're offering 25% off your total order at ktquilts.com thru December 31st. Don't wait until all the precuts are gone!

KT's 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways - Day 12

KT Winner Day 11

Congrats to
Donna W -Fantastic patterns. Thanks for the chance to win them.

You're the winner of our Day 11 giveaway - the Paisley Park collection of patterns. Please send your mailing address to lynne@ktquilts.com and we'll send out your goodies soon.

12 Days of Christmas Giveaway - Day 12

Our giveaway for Day 12 is our brand new Clara's Garden booklet & Seedlings charm pattern. Clara's Garden fabric collection is due in quilt shops next month for a bright beginning to the new year. I love the way the floral prints and rich hues play so well together. This line is in honor of my great-grandmother who was a master gardener and rug hooker. One of the rugs we found in my Gramma's collection was the circular motif, so marrying the floral applique with the illusion of circles was the perfect tribute to an amazing woman. All 5 projects are in our Clara's Garden booklet.

Our charm pattern for Clara's Garden is the Seedlings Runner & mini charm pillow sleeve. I've become addicted to making these pillow sleeves to slide on and off of a rectangular lumbar pillow. This shape works best for me when binding or hand-stitching in my comfy chair. I love the convenience of being able to swap out seasonal sleeves in a snap. We have a melon-shaped template available in both sizes coming soon!

Comment here by 10pm CST tonight to win both of these KT patterns. It's not too late to be a winner!

KT's 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway - Day 11

KT Winner Day 10

Congrats to
Vicki in MN -Oh I love your Barn Raising quilt-oh I would love to have that!

You're the winner of our Day 10  giveaway - KS Dugout and KT Barn Raising patterns. Please send your mailing address to lynne@ktquilts.com and we'll send out your goodies soon.

12 Days of Christmas Giveaway - Day 11

Our giveaway for Day 11 is a trio of patterns featuring the Paisley Park fabric collection. The great prints and colors of this line make it one of my all-time favorites. The easy layered patchwork makes the projects so easy to make! You'll never cut off star points again with our Perfectly Paisley star lap quilt. Rectangles and squares are cut diagonally to create triangles that are layered and topstitched on a larger background rectangle. Looks difficult, but really, I made it so it can't be that hard!

Prim Pinwheels utilizes a Jelly Roll to make spinning double pinwheels with layered triangles. Who'd guess you started with a precut and 3 fabrics?

Paisley Party is just that - a party in a Jelly Roll! Make 2 runners and a pillow sleeve from one Jelly Roll. Tans stitched together in long strips create the background for some bloomin' paisleys take directly from the fabric print. Assorted dark strips sewn horizontally showcase the beautiful colors of the line. Use any appliques you like, or none at all and let your centerpiece shine! With a few odds and ends of JR strips leftover, I couldn't resist whipping up a pillow sleeve that can be easily changed when the season - or your mood - changes. All three projects are in the pattern. Any JR works!

Just one more chance to win after today, so don't delay!

KT Winner Day 9

Congrats to squirrelie55.
You're the winner of our Day 9 giveaway - KT's Layers of Love book. Please send your mailing address to lynne@ktquilts.com and we'll send out your goodies soon.

12 Days of Christmas Giveaway - Day 10

Our giveaway for Day 10 is a duo of new patterns featuring our KT Favorites collection, now arriving in quilt shops. Moda selected 20 of the 39 prints to double up in precuts for our first ever Favorites Layer Cakes, Charms and Jelly Rolls. Our Barn Raising quilt features the KT Five & Dime Ruler to make one simple block with a Layer Cake & Charm that can be arranged a dozen different ways. We give you 4 in the pattern to get you started. My favorite is the Barn Raising setting.

KT Dugout uses a Jelly Roll to good advantage, adding layered triangles to the corners of strips. With almost half tans/half darks in this collection of precuts, it's been fun playing with all the options. You can play, too, with these two patterns to inspire you.

KT's 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways - Day 9

KT Winner Day 8

Congrats to
Evie Christner - Quilts and antiques are a perfect combo.

You're the winner of our Day 8 giveaway - a bevy of autumn patterns. Please send your mailing address to lynne@ktquilts.com and we'll send out your goodies soon.

12 Days of Christmas Giveaway - Day 9

Our giveaway for Day 9 is our Layers of Love book. Now is the time to embrace precuts and our layered patchwork technique for fast & simple quilts for everyone in your life. The "Layers" part of the title refers to our unique method of layering squares, triangles and precuts over background squares and topstitching close to the raw edges. This technique not only eliminates bulky seams by simplifying traditional quilt blocks, but creates a fun, dimensional look, as well. The "Love" part is all about the grankids. It was so much fun to design a quilt for each of our 8 grankids with their personalities and hobbies in mind.

One of the favorites is Delainey's Twirls & Swirls. This delightful pinwheel quilt uses just one charm pack plus 2 fabrics for background and border. It's pieced with just one block - a square with 2 different sized triangles stitched on top. In all the classes I've taught, there isn't one color combo that wasn't twirly & swirly!

I love it in classic KT colors, of course, but the brights just make me smile! A charm makes a 72" sq. quilt, but it's easily made smaller for a baby quilt. Add buttons for even more dimension.

There are more than a dozen other projects in the book using the same method of layered patchwork to create stars, hex's, runners and more! Comment by 10pm CST tonight to win this book -and a bit of fun to go along with it!

KT Winner Day 7

Congrats to Sandy Allen -

12 Days of Christmas Giveaway - Day 8

Our giveaway for Day 8 is another trio of fall favorites - Cattails runner, Prairie Medley charm pattern and Mini Pumpkins Mini Table Treat. I found the reproduction feed sack on a recent trip to market when I stopped to shop in Spring, TX. The handmade pottery bowl's design is made with vintage lace - awesome! I enjoy traveling around the country to visit quilters and quilt shops, but the shopping trips on the side often yield some my greatest finds.

Comment by 10pm tonight to win this assortment of patterns - plus, a bag of scraps leftover from a recent project. I just can't keep it all!

Clara's Garden Charm Projects

KT Winner

Congrats to -
Sitting here in Buffalo with 60 inches of snow - Please send me some SUNSHINE...Love your books - Clara's quilt looks like a challenge I can't resist! Checking my stash today...Judy R from Buffalo -
you've won a Clara's Garden Jelly Roll and booklet. Thanks to everyone for visiting my blog.

Seedlings

Our charm pattern for the Clara's Garden fabric collection is as simple (and addictive) as planting the first seedlings in their little peat pots each spring. We sewed rows of charm squares together, added borders, sandwiched the quilt, then appliqued the melons onto the runner as we quilted it. So fast, so fun, so cool! Add buttons from Hillcreek Designs that blend perfectly with KT fabrics for the finishing touch. We'll have button packs available in December when the patterns are done.

Seedlings Runner 22" x 53"
I loved the charm runner when Lois brought it back and wondered what it would look like done up with a mini charm pack. I think it's the perfect compliment as a pillow sleeve. Same technique, more buttons. Gotta love it! We're working on a template for the melon wedges - large & small - so check back here for more info.
Seedlings Pillow Sleeve 12" x 20"

More From Clara's Garden

KT Winner

Congrats to Allison! You're the winner of last weeks blog giveaway.
  1. My favorite flowers in my garden are the coneflowers. I have over a dozen different kinds and they are all beautiful in their own unique ways. I love the lap quilt! Clara must have been an amazing woman.

Clara's Garden

If you prefer piecing over applique, this is the project for you. All the blocks are simply 9-patches layered with our wedges cut from a Jelly Roll. This time, we placed them randomly for a scrappier, less planned look. What a great quilt for a wedding or anniversary - rings without the stress! Project included in Clara's Garden booklet (retail $10.95). I also created a wedge template for easier cutting (KT Wedge Template $7.95).

Clara's Raised Bed Garden 72" x 82"

Here's the perfect little table topper using just one of the Clara's Garden blocks. A single 9-patch plus 8 of the layered wedges in the same print make this circular project easy to whip up in just about 3 hours!
Clara's Garden Mini Table Treat 17" Round

Somehow this didn't post last week as expected. I admit I was laying on the beach in Florida while typing, but it looked like it had posted. Sorry I can't send a bit of warm sunshine to each of you. Instead, if you comment here, I'll share a Clara's Garden booklet with the projects above plus last week's and a Jelly Roll to get you started.

I'll be home thru the holidays so watch for more Clara's Garden inspiration next week and our annual 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway in December. So much fun stuff to win!

Introducing.....Clara's Garden

Clara's Garden Debuts at Houston Quilt Market

Over the next few blog posts, I'll be showcasing my newest fabric collection, Clara's Garden. I've recently done some research on our family tree and discovered that Clara was my great, great-grandmother who came to homestead the land across from where we now live. She was widowed on the way to Kansas with 5 small children, but continued onto their planned destination and purchased a good sized parcel of land with her husband's life insurance money. Over the years, her crops were successful and she bought more land. My Dad's farm, my Aunt & Uncle's home/farm and the cabin by the pond where Robert and I live are all on land acquired by this industrious, strong-willed  woman. I remember stories from my Gramma Ethel about Clara's amazing green thumb and the recipes for canning passed down to her. I wish I had known her. Instead, I created a quilt to honor her fortituede and gardening skills, marrying raw-edge applique flowers and my layered patchwork technique in a lap quilt worthy of Clara's heritage

Our signature florals, geometrics and small prints create the classic KT look for warm, inviting quilts for your bed and home decor. Clara's Garden booklet (retail $10.95) offers 5 projects featuring our no-curved-piecing method with layered patchwork. Here's a sampling:

Clara's Garden lap quilt 72" x 72"
Simple 9-patch blocks and fused raw-edge appliques flower blocks are alternated then layered with a wedge cut from a Jelly Roll with our KT Wedge Template. The wedges are layered and stitched on all four sides of each block to create the circular effect with no curved piecing.
Fresh-Picked Runner

Pick your favorite flower and colorway to whip up a runner in no time at all. I love the plum prints and black-eyed Susan blocks for my Fresh-Picked Runner.

Tune in next week for more of the projects in Clara's Garden. Win a Clara's Garden Layer Cake this week by commenting on your favorite flower in your garden.

My Favorite KT Quilt Contest

KT Winner

Congratulations to Ozark Cajun. You're the winner of a KT Barn Raising pattern & KT Favorites charm pack. Now put that charm pack to good use and win big in our new quilt contest!

My Favorite KT Quilt Contest

I introduced the idea for a KT quilt contest in last week's blog post. I'm already receiving inquiries about what the rules are and what the prizes will be! As my grankids say, "Gramma doesn't have alot of rules, just don't mess with them!"

Here are a few official rules for  My Favorite KT Quilt Contest

1. Make a quilt (or enter an existing quilt) that features any Kansas Troubles' pattern using KT or any other Moda designer's fabric. For example, the Five & Dime quilt from Loose Change made with brights by Sandy Gervais' Pieces From My Heart - OR - Aleece's Charming Stars from Layers of Love with Primitive Gatherings fabric.

2. The quilt must include 1 Moda precut - charm pack, mini charm pack, Layer Cake, Jelly Roll, Honey Bun or Honeycomb.

3. Send a photo of your quilt to lynne@ktquilts.com.  Entries must be received by midnight December 31st. Your submission of a photo gives KTQ permission to publish your quilt on the KT blog site and in future blog posts.

The 3 finalists will be be posted here on Monday, January 5th. You will select the winner by voting in blog comments through January 10th. Winners will be announced on January 12th.

1st place winner will receive a $100 KT gift certificate; 2nd place - $50 KT gift certificate; 3rd place - $25 KT gift certificate. KT gift certificates are redeemable in store or online at ktquilts.com.

For inspiration, this week's giveaway is a new KT Favorites charm pack. Comment on your favorite Moda designer (other than KT) for a chance to win! I can't wait to see all the wonderful quilts!

More KT Favorites - and a Contest!

KT Winner

Congratulations to Nancy E! You're the winner of the KT Dugout pattern last week. Due to some technical difficulties (read as user error), this post is just now being published. I accidentally scheduled it to publish in 2015! Oh well. Does that make me a week behind or a week ahead now???

KT Barn Raising

I love it when a quilt block can be rearranged a dozen different ways for a variety of looks. Classic log cabin blocks work well but there are endless little strips to cut and piece for each block. Our twist on the Five & Dime block is so much easier! The trick is a half light/half dark block for graphic impact. KT's new Favorites collection of precuts has more tan prints than ever to achieve this ratio for more ways to play with the block settings. I love this traditional Barn Raising setting for it's visual appeal and traditional character. Using KT's layered patchwork technique makes construction so fast you can make a different quilt layout for everyone on your list! Our pattern also includes several more options for fast & easy quilts that look technically intricate, but feature the same, simple layered block.

Layer a charm sq. centered on a Layer Cake square -
light on dark and dark on light.  Stitch, cut diagonally.
Sew a light layered triangle to a dark layered triangle
for the basic block. KT Easy!

KT Barn Raising
72" sq. lap quilt

Furrows setting
72" x 81" lap quilt w/borders

Ins & Outs Queen/King quilt
106" sq. w/borders

There's also a pinwheel variation in the pattern but the possibilities are endless! I'd love to see what you all come up with, too. Send pictures to lynne@ktquilts.com. Hey, that kinda sounds like a challenge - no, a CONTEST! How about sending me pictures of your favorite KT quilt by the end of the year. We'll post our 3 favorites and have you all vote for the winner. See next week's post for all the details. To get you started, win a KT Barn Raising pattern & KT Favorites charm pack by commenting on your favorite fall decorating ideas.

New Favorites!

KT Winners

Congratulations to Maggey & Jim. You're the winners of last week's Layers of Love book giveaway. I love that you quilt together as a couple. Please share nicely :).

Rustic Stars

Thanks to everyone who fell in love with my Rustic Stars quilt featured on the cover of the October issue of American Patchwork & Quilting. Due to the high demand for kits, we're waiting on Moda to reprint several of the key fabrics in the quilt. The shipment is due mid-November, so please be patient with us. We'll be cutting as fast as we can once the bolts arrive. What a fun Thanksgiving surprise when the mailman drops off your box of goodies!

Layered Patchwork 101

I've had several questions regarding my statement in the Loose Change and Layers of Love books about the layered patchwork technique - "Do not stitch in seam allowance".  By this, I mean to only topstitch the layered piece 1/8" from the pinked or bias edge on the inside of the block, not along the seam allowance, indicated by arrows. You'll be stitching over both layers when adding the next pieces to the block so it is not only duplicate stitching, but could cause puckering along the edge when sewing the blocks together. I try to provide stitching diagrams such as this to clarify where the layered patchwork topstitching is applied. Please email or call if you have questions about any of my patterns/projects.

This simple block is in a new pattern featuring a KT Favorites Jelly Roll called KT Dugout. Moda's bringing back KT Favorites with a collection of favorite prints from past KT lines that blend with everything new. There are 39 prints in the group with 20 of those doubled for precuts  - Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes and Charms. KT Favorites is due to arrive in your local quilt shop in December.

Watch next week for another KT Favorites project featuring a Layer Cake and Charm using our Five & Dime ruler. This week, win the KT Dugout pattern. It would make a really quick and easy holiday gift for someone special with our $25 Christmas Jelly Rolls!

Paisley Park Preview #4

Day at the Park

Our Paisley Park Preview was happily interrupted by the Moda Love Blog Tour. I hope you all had a chance to visit the other designers' blogs to learn more about their fabric collections and what they all love about quilting. I enjoy discovering a few little secrets about these talented women I see only twice a year at market. So fun!

Now, for the final project from our Paisley Park collection - our Day at the Park charm quilt. For each KT fabric line, I challenge myself to create a simple quilt using just one charm pack plus a couple extra fabrics for a fast & easy project. Whether a wall quilt, table runner or pair of pillows, my charm-ing inspirations provide lots of options for your home decor or gift giving throughout the year. For example, Day at the Park requires a charm pack, mini charm pack plus 2 fabrics for borders - kit price, including pattern, is only $29.88!

The Day at the Park quilt was inspired by a brick path in our favorite park that meanders past flower gardens, fountains and bird baths to a bench hidden under a blooming trellis. A lovely spot for an impromptu picnic lunch. Love it! I could see the brick work as charm squares and took a picture to remind me of it's pattern. Look around you - inspiration is everywhere!

By starting with 2 precuts, your project is half done. Piece traditiional half square triangle blocks from assorted charm squares. Cut a mini charm into fourths, then layer two of those squares on opposite corners of bias squares and stitch. So easy!

Play with the blocks as you're laying them out - there are several ways to create even more designs!

Comment here about your favorite spot for a relaxing lunch (or dinner or snack) to win a Paisley Park charm pack and our Day at the Park pattern. See you next Monday!

Moda Designer Blog Hop winners....

Great Girlfriend Getaway
I've been in Mackinaw City, MI with Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts this week playing with 30 fellow quilters at a KT/Heartspun Retreat. What a wonderful bunch of ladies from all over the Midwest. We had such a great time watch for info on another retreat in 2015. Our husbands came with us to work/play so we're celebrating with a getaway of our own to Mackinaw Island. It's so beautiful here I've barely noticed the chilly temps! More horse drawn taxis rides, shopping, great food and the butterfly garden tomorrow before heading back to reality.

Thanks to all of you who stopped by my blog and commented.  Check in each week for more KT news & giveaways. Now for the winners!

Moda Love Designer Blog Tour

Welcome to the Moda Love Blog Tour!

Each day you've been able to visit 3 different Moda designer's blogs for inspiration, giveaways and lots of Moda Love. Sensing a theme here??? Today's fellow Moda designers are the delightful and whimsical Bunny Hill and the extraordinarily talented and lovely Deb Strain. I can't wait to see what their Moda Love brings.

For me, after almost 15 years with Moda, the respect for Mark Dunn and his family company continues to grow. He is an outstanding businessman with a generous spirit and inspires us all to do our best work. But it's Lissa Alexander, Director of Marketing, that makes all the fun happen. Her ability to bring dozens of designers from all over the world together is incredible! She's the inspiration behind Moda Love and had a few questions for each of us:

When did you fall in LOVE with quilting/textiles?
It must have been a genetic thing since my Mom claims I complained about polyester blend sheets and scratchy blankets from the very beginning. Soft, cotton, natural fabrics have always been my first choice. My Gramma Ethel showed me how to make Barbie clothes by hand and had quilts on her beds. Her first love, however, was rug hooking. There were rugs everywhere in her house! I had access to her scrap bags of cottons, wools and buttons for doll clothes. Hand-stitching instilled in me the love of petting the textiles as I worked, enjoying the smoothness or texture of the various fabrics. A couple of treasured quilts from her mother inspired me to make my own quilts from new fabrics that looked old. Now, I have cupboards full of vintage quilts and quilt tops just waiting to be made into new KT fabrics!

What fuels you to create?
When I'm stuck and haven't had an original thought in days, I go shopping! Antique quilts and textiles (actually anything old and worm) inspire me to design. Sometimes I just go into my stash of old quilts and take out a pile to explore for new fabric prints and something about it always gets the creative juices flowing. Living in the country is always inspirational as well, with the changing colors of the seasons, the foliage and flowers changing outside my studio window, the wildlife that visit and call for me to come sit with a glass of iced tea on the porch to watch. I guess slowing down, breathing it all in and loving every minute of what I do is the fuel that keeps me going.

I love the color....RED.
Red is full of life, energy and possibilities. It's in virtually every fabric line I create and is a staple in my home decorating schemes year round.

I get shaky knees when... I find a gorgeous antique quilt/fabric - OR when my husband, Robert, kisses me.

When I teach workshops, I love...the quilters!
I learn so much from everyone I interact with at a workshop - their lives, their friendships and the fun that comes from a shared passion for quilting. Since I work by myself, I enjoy the stories, feedback and support of quilters all over the country. Here's a group of delightful ladies from a workshop at Patchwork Garden in Buffalo, NY.

What is your all time favorite Moda precut?
It's so hard to choose, but I'd have to say Charms because they play so well with all of the other precuts. I collect all the Moda designer's charms when traveling to quilt shops just for fun. That means I also have to search for antique boxes, tins and baskets that are the perfect size for holding all those charm packs. Win/Win! I use precuts in almost every quilt I design because I love to have my quilt ready to start sewing without alot of tedious cutting. They also work well with my layered patchwork technique AND you get an instant fabric collection in a beautiful little bundle. Gotta Moda LOVE it!

These are all Moda charm packs by the various designers -
and not a one is KTQ! Now I'm hooked on collecting mini charms, too!

Each of the Moda designers made a quilt from the same basic pattern with their new fabric collections. Here's my Moda Love quilt featuring a Paisley Park Layer Cake. Find the instructions for using a Layer Cake, charm or mini charm at Moda Love Layer Cake Quilt.

Now here's the good stuff! Comment here to win one of these awesome Moda precuts.
Check back for the list of winners on each of the designer's blogs on September 13th.  Good Luck!

Paisley Park Preview Week #3

KT Winners

Forgot to announce last week's winner of the Paisley Party pattern & Jelly Roll. Congrats to Ann X. And for this week's winner of the Perfectly Paisley pattern & Layer Cake, congratulations to Mia's Cottage. Please send mailing info to lynne@ktquilts.com.

Prim Pinwheels

Have you ever fallen in love with a block or a quilt that has a dozen seams and you break out in a rash just thinking about piecing it? Then, your blocks come out less than perfect and it's difficult to keep them flat and square? That's why I LOVE my layered patchwork technique. It simplifies traditional pieced blocks by eliminating some of the seams and pressing that can distort and cause lumps in your blocks. Our Prim Pinwheels quilt is the perfect example of that theory. Instead of pesky y-seams and lots of lumpy seam allowances in each block, I've layered triangles over precut Jelly RollTM strips for dimensional, primitive pinwheels that are so easy to make!
Intricate looking pinwheels made easy with layered patchwork
and Jelly Roll strips. A JR + 3 fabrics is all you need to create
a huggable lap quilt for someone on your list.

Layer triangles over JR strips; stitch. Piece pairs together, then 4 of a kind.
Layer quarter cut triangles to each side for easy diamonds/pinwheels
that lay flat and measure the correct size.

Comment here to win a Prim Paisley pattern and a Jelly Roll to get you started!

Moda's Designer Blog Hop continues! Come back Wednesday for KTQ's day of the hop.

Paisley Park Preview Week #2

Paisley Park Fabric to arrive soon!

We listen for the rumbling of the UPS truck each day, waiting for boxes and boxes of Paisley Park to arrive on our doorstep. It can't be long now! As soon as the precuts arrive, we'll be kitting up some of the projects from the Layers of Love book and our Paisley Park patterns. This week, take a peek at Perfectly Paisley, a galaxy full of layered patchwork stars dancing amidst traditionally pieced 9-patches. A Layer CakeTM, background and 3 borders is all you need to create this
My layered patchwork method makes star points simple and
dimensional with no chance of cutting off points. Start with a
Moda precut Layer CakeTM for a whole fabric collection in one
 neat package.

We've layered triangles cut from squares & rectangles on top of the
tan background rectangle to create perfect star points. Just stitch
about an 1/8" from the bias edges of the triangles for the star center &
star point units. Piecing is totally simplified with fewer seams, less
pressing and less chance of distorting your base block. That means
a more square block and more perfectly pieced paisley quilt!

To win a Perfectly Paisley pattern & Paisley Park Layer Cake, comment here on the layered patchwork technique - thumbs up, thumbs down, want to try it. I'm eager to hear your thoughts.

Moda's Designer Blog Hop starts tomorrow! Don't miss a single day of designer inspiration, new product previews and tons of giveaways! The first designers up are Janet Clare Designs, Kate Spain, and Thimbleblossoms. I'll be up on September 10th. See you then!

Paisley Park Preview

Paisley Park is Just Around the Corner!

Here at KTQ, we're anxiously awaiting the arrival of my newest fabric line, Paisley Park. It's featured in the Rustic Stars quilt on the cover of American Patchwork & Quilting magazine and in several projects we're offering starting with Moda's precuts. The rich autumn hues and paisley prints are the perfect mix for your home and holiday gifts.  Here's a look at one of my favorites using just one Jelly RollTM - Paisley Party.

Grab a Jelly RollTM and transform your strips into 3 great projects to give
or keep! Two runners and a pillow sleeve make playing with precuts
a breeze. The warm, rich colors provide the perfect backdrop
for your table centerpiece in our  Paisley Border runner. The flip 'n sew,
quilt-as-you-go method make it fast & easy, too! Embellish with
paisley applique, pick your own motif, or leave it plain for
year-round appeal.

I love the feature fabric in my Paisley Park collection
so much I turned it into an applique motif.
Light JR strips are the background for Bloomin' Paisleys.

Leftover strips from the runner stitched together to make a simple pillow
sleeve with panache. OR, piece 3 pillow sleeves from one JR to share.
Love paisley parints? Comment here to win a Paisley Party pattern & Jelly Roll. You'll be well on your way to a trio of delightful accents for your home.

Watch for the Moda Designer Blog Hop beginning September 3rd for piles of giveaways from all your favorite Moda designers!
