Still Wishing for Spring

KT Special for April

It snowed here in Kansas last weekend after temps hitting the 80's thru the week. Crazy! I don't know how to dress in the morning - t-shirt & sandals or a winter coat.  Boy, do we all need some Fresh Cut Flowers right now. Our April KT Special is Fresh Cut Flowers' fat quarter bundles for only $99 (retail $135). Robert said we have a few left at this special price, so don't delay, order yours today.

KT Winner

Congratulations to Bonnie58 - you've won the new Fresh Cut Flowers booklet and a box of scraps from the new projects. Thanks for commenting and helping me clean up my studio.

Bonnie58 -We are still in a nasty cold snap which is supposed to hang around until mid-April. I am getting desperate for spring. Thanks so much for sharing. I love the new pattern.

U-Pick Flowers

When Moda first came out with Charm Packs, I challenged myself to design a small project using just 1 charm pack plus a couple fabrics for each of my fabric collections. It's still one of my favorite things. The charm pattern for Fresh Cut Flowers is especially fun with our KT Kut-ups precut fusible appliques. Traditionally pieced half squares create diagonal rows of color that offer the perfect backdrop for a Mason jar full of blooms. So simple, so fresh, so spring!

U-Pick Flowers Charm Quilt

The name of the quilt was inspired by this wonderful vintage find - an orchard sign with wooden letters - U-PICK - on both sides. It hangs in my east windows in front of red/tan ticking stripe curtains. I love it! This morning the sun was shining (wahoo!) and creating a glare, so I laid it on the dining table. I'll try to get a picture of the whole window later.

Are any of you antique lovers, too? I have shelves full of vintage quilts and quilt tops that I need to edit/sell/share. In addition, I have quite a few 30-50's vintage finds that just don't fit into my KT theme anymore, but worked in the retreat bedroom at one time. As I have time, I plan to post items for sale on our website. Watch for the KT Attic coming soon!

Me & My Friend Quilt Retreat

If you're a quilter today, you know the name Jenny Doan and Missouri Star Quilt Company. I'm blessed to say Jenny is a good friend. We have such busy schedules we try to plan a couple of teaching events together each year to be able to hang out and catch up. We've been teaching on quilting cruises for several years and have openings on next year's cruises in March (more on that later). Diane Erickson, of Eternity Quilt Events, has organized a wonderful weekend for us at the Hilton Mission Valley in San Diego in September 2018. Take a look at this little video we put together on the last cruise.

Me & My Friend Quilt Retreat

Interested in spending a few days with Jenny and me? We'll each have a trunk show of quilts and teach a full day class and a half day class. Plus, there are lots of options for fun activities in the area. Contact Diane for more information. We'd love to have you and your friend join us!

Just Arrived...

Fresh Cut Flowers is Here!

On a cold, windy March day, the UPS guy backed up his truck with dozens of boxes from Moda full of sunshine. Yes, sunshine can come in a cardboard box. As we opened the boxes, full of my new Fresh Cut Flowers fabric collection, the KT Quilt Shop brightened a little, welcoming it's new arrivals. All of us were smiling as we pulled one bolt after another from the boxes, "oohing" and "aahing" and petting and fondling the pretty floral prints in happy spring colors. Robert rearranged the store displays to feature the new quilts, stacking precuts of all sizes to tempt shoppers. The store was blooming with Fresh Cut Flowers!

The Fresh Cut Flowers lap quilt is hanging on the wall. Windmills and Fence Posts are draped over the ironing board and table. The U-Pick Flowers charm quilt is to the right, but kinda dark, so here's another look. Find the pattern/kit HERE.

Are you signed up for our Fresh Cut Flowers 7-Month Block-of-the-Month? We're offering either the lap quilt of king size option beginning the middle of April. You'll receive all the fabrics you need for the quilt top/binding, precut needed, KT Kut-ups precut fusible appliques, buttons and booklet plus free shipping for $32/month lap quilt or $48/month king quilt. Wouldn't you love to awaken each morning curled up under this quilt? Call the store to reserve your space. We have a few spots open. KT Quilt Shop - 785-488-2120.

It's Good to be Home

 Home Again

We slept at home last night after being on the road for almost 3 weeks, driving to and from Florida and teaching on 2 quilting cruises in a row. It was good to sleep in my own bed - especially because it wasn't moving! The first week of cruising, we had gloriously calm seas and happy cruisers/quilters all around. The ladies worked on a 9-patch batik quilt with Jenny, finished a delightful quilted bag with Judy and her amazing Baby Lock Crescendo embroidery machine, and pieced a wall quilt with seasonal button-ons with me. For Week #2, we welcomed another 100 quilters who were anxious to start sewing. They got their wish when the waves were so high we couldn't port in the Bahamas the first day as planned. What to do? Start classes a day early! We made lemons into lemonade and had a delightful second week, as well. I love to share my Layered Patchwork technique and spend time with quilters, listening to their personal stories. All in all, a great adventure. Thanks to everyone who made the voyage with us one to remember.

Technical Issues

While we were away, our ktquilts.com website/emails quit working. No one can explain why - "Technical issues" was the explanation. So, if you tried to place an order or email KTQ between about February 25th and March 5th and have not received a reply, please call to make sure we received your email/order. All is good and  we're back online again.

KT Winners

There are lots of winners to announce this week, so let's get to it!

The winner of the Windmills & Fence Posts pattern is:
Gwynette in NW Arkansas - Windmills and Fence Posts sounds so "Kansas". My daughter lives in Clay Center and we love your shop. Thank you for simplifying the log cabin into a great looking quilt!!!

The winner of 3 KT Fresh Cut Flowers Mini Charms is:
Donna Lee Lurker - I would love to win the Mini-Charms quilt book! I've missed the Blockheads weekly get-together. I hope you'll be participating in Blockheads II!

The winner of a Mini Charms ebook by Martingale is:
Cheree @ That Morning Latte- This book looks like so much fun, and one that I would make most, if not all, of the projects from!

The winner of the Through the Year Again pattern is:
Roxanne B -Your designs are wonderful as usual. I'd love to learn the layered technique and more about the cruise.

The winners of last week's scrap boxes are:
Judy Zoll - Mostly I use Bonnie Hunter's system, except for my KT scraps which have their own special place. I am currently working on a scrap quilt using my KT fabrics so my drawer is getting depleted. What a great time to win some more KT fabrics. Through the years I have gone from one style to another, but I have never tired of the KT fabrics. Keep up the good work.

WhiteEagle - I keep my various half square triangles, sorted by size, in clear shoe boxes that take up two shelves in a bookcase. My strips go in a bin that I try to use daily for strip blocks and also use them for beginning and ending sewing. That way I'm always doing two projects at once. My larger squares are used in four patches and sorted like the half square triangles and also for start and end sewing if I run out of strips.

More Cleaning ...

KT Giveaway

I'm still uncovering bags and bundles and boxes of scraps leftover from quilting projects over the past year or two. My baskets and bins are overflowing, so I'd like to share with you. Here are two more assortments of scraps for our giveaway this week.

Scraps #1 - Gooseberry Lane & assorted red/tan/black scraps
I think several of these prints were used for Christmas projects like the Gooseberry Runner, below, but some are Harvest Hill, too. Included are several different reds, tans and a couple blacks.

Assorted KT Scraps #2 (including some Fresh Cut Flowers)
Not sure where this bag of scraps came from. It has quite a few 2 1/2" strips from a couple different lines, plus a chunk of backing (gold dots). Great for scrappy projects.

I have bins for strips and squares, fat 1/8's and fat 1/4's by color and folded yardage on shelves. When I come to the end of chunk of fabric, I cut it into strips or squares to add to my bins. Lately, odd pieces and parts seem to be taking over every flat surface! Comment on how you keep scraps of all sizes from over-running your sewing space. I could use a few pointers.

Cruisin' into March

KT March Special

While you're reading this, Robert and I are teaching (or rather, playing with quilters) on a quilting cruise with Jenny and Ron Doan (Missouri Star Quilt Co). Jenny and I plan workshop trips together just so we have time to hang out. Both of our lives are crazy busy, so it works out great!

I'm teaching a sampler style wall quilt to share my Layered Patchwork technique with the ladies on the ship. It includes a wonky cemter star, rows of flying geese, a checkerboard border and pinwheels in the corners. We'll learn all the basics to tackle virtually any KTQ pattern using Layered Patchwork.

Through the Year Again

In addition, there are four seasonal button-ons featuring our KT Kutups precut fusible appliques. See the buttons in the corners of the red border? Hang the quilt once, change it for the seasons!
Bloomin' Basket 14" sq.

Happy Birthday, America 14" sq.

Joy of the Season 14" sq.

Autumn Harvest 14" sq.

Comment this week to win a Through the Year Again pattern or find it on our website HERE for the March Special price of only $8 (retail $10.95).

Joy is busy making kits, too. ($119.95 including all fabrics for quilt top/binding/button-ons with KT Kut-ups). Give her a call to order yours today! 785-488-2120

New Book, New Giveway

It's so fun for me to share with you the new book from Martingale featuring mini charm packs. Our creative genius at Moda, Lissa Alexander, has gathered 17 projects from Moda designers who love to play with precuts. The variety is amazing! Be sure to check out all the designer's blog posts - and Martingale's All Stars Mini Charms - to see more of the unique quilts in this book.

Not only is Mini Charm Quilts full of delightful little quilts, the pictures are pure eye candy. Isn't the wire basket on the cover a great way to display little quilts? I'm going to dig into my cupboard to find a few (and will no doubt have to make a few from the book) to fill a wire basket.

This is my offering to the Mini Quilts book. I've used my Five and Dime Layered Patchwork technique, utilizing the pinked edges to layer little tan squares over the 2 1/2" dark squares for a stairstep effect. It goes together so quickly! Perfect for a table top or to tuck into a basket.

Love, love this little blue & white beauty. So simple, yet so effective. Don't you love the salt shakers under the cloche? It makes the collection look so special.

This cute pillow caught my eye right away. The tiny little blocks (adorable) create a heartfelt message that isn't overly cutesy or only just for Valentine's Day (although it would be awesome in scrappy reds).

It's a great idea to buy a Mini Charm to match each new quilt you start to have just the right pieces for a coordinating pillow. It gives your home decor that Martha Stewart touch.

See anything you like? Wouldn't you love to win an e-copy of the book and a few of my Fresh Cut Flowers Mini Charms? I can make that happen! Comment here and I'll pick a winner when I return from teaching on my quilting cruises in a couple weeks.

A Little More Fresh Cut Flowers & Blockheads Surprises

KT Winners

The winner of the U-Pick Flowers charm pattern is:
Lewcrese Shields - I love the fresh picked flowers. Everyone is so bored with winter right now, we all need a little color back in our lives!!
The assorted KT scraps go to:
Diane H -The choice of blue for the mason jar is perfect on this beautiful quilt. I'd love some scraps to play with.
Please email your shipping address to Robert at lynne@ktquilts.com. He'll send it out when we return from cruising.

Thanks to all of you that check in on my blog. I so enjoy reading all your comments.

Moda Blockheads Update

I guess I need to catch up with some of you over-achievers out there and finish my Blockheads quilt in a hurry. Martingale has asked to publish the blocks and quilts in a book! Woohoo! How exciting is that? It will be great to have all the instructions and inspiration in one place for future reference. But now I'm on a deadline!

But wait, there's more! By popular demand, we're going forward with a Blockheads 2 group. There  are some very fun ideas floating around for how to change it up and include more designers. Lots more to come so don't miss a post!

Cut Flowers Mini Table Treats

After finishing the Fresh Cut Flowers quilt with the appliqued blooms using our KT Kut-ups precut fusible appliques, there were a few lovely leftovers just perfect for a small project. I chose to feature the "pansy" flower that's purple on the lap quilt and make it red for a not-so-matchy coordinating table topper. Choose your favorite flower from Fresh Cut Flowers and add it to a mini quilt, pillow or bag. Imagine the possibilities!

Windmills & Fence Posts

A Manly Quilt using Fresh Cut Flowers

The Fresh Cut Flowers quilt is all about springtime and flowers and soft curves. But I wanted to add a more masculine option for this fabric collection, too. It all started when my brother requested a log cabin quilt when he saw an antique log cabin quilt of mine set in a pinwheel design. So, really, I love my brother, but I didn't really have time to piece a log cabin quilt with 1/2" strips. I like the variety of settings you can achieve with a log cabin block, but they're so time consuming to piece. With a Jelly Roll and a couple fabrics, I created this block that creates the look without all the time.

I added a triangle to one end of the tan strips - either using traditional piecing or my Layered Patchwork for faster results.  Add the tan strips to dark strips and you have a log-cabin-wanna-be-block that goes together quickly with all the same setting options.

The Windmills and Fence Posts quilts are available in lap size or king/queen size bed quilts. Prefer a furrows setting? It's in here, too. See how different the center of the Windmills quilt looks just by turning the blocks!

Love a star quilt? Rearrange the Fence Posts' blocks to create this 40" giant star for the center of your quilt. The same pieced border adds even more punch.

Need a bed size quilt? Here are two options using a couple Jelly Rolls and the same simple block. I even had enough JR strips leftover to create a pieced border on the Windmill quilt.

King Windmill Quilt 101" x 101"

King Fence Posts Quilt 106" x 106"

Would you like to try your hand at one of these quilts for someone on your list? Comment to win a Windmills & Fence Posts booklet .

A Few More Fresh Cut Flowers

KT Winner

Congratulation to:
Barbara - Love the Fresh Cut Flowers lap quilt! Would love to win some KT scraps. Thank you for a chance to win. bfiresheets@bellsouth.net

Thanks for including your email address.

U-Pick Flowers

I enjoy the challenge of designing a quilt for each fabric collection based on the prints, colors and theme in the line. For Fresh Cut Flowers, I knew right away I wanted a jar full of blooms, but didn't know what the perfect background would be. It didn't take long to realize that simple was the way to go. I cut all the charm squares in half to create 2 triangles and began the process of laying them out every which way I could imagine. The diagonal setting fell into place because of the numbers of each of the colors in the charm pack. It's one of my new favorite charm patterns! We have KT Kut-ups precut fusible applique packs for U-Pick or kits that include the Kut-ups and buttons. Watch for them as soon as we have Fresh Cut Flowers in the store mid-March.

Find the U-Pick charm pattern HERE.

KT Giveaway

This week, comment to win a U-Pick Flowers charm pattern OR another box of KT scraps. We'll select 2 winners next week.

KT February Special

Cozy Quilts and Comforts

Baby, it's cold outside! Now is the perfect time to curl up in your most comfy chair with a cup of your favorite warm beverage and new quilting book to inspire your creativity. Need a recommendation? My new Cozy Quilts and Comforts book. There are more than a dozen ideas for lap & bed size quilts, runners, table toppers, wall quilts and pillows in traditional piecing and my Layered Patchwork technique. Here are a few of the projects included in the book, published by my friends at Martingale.

All of the pictures in the book were taken at the KT Retreat upstairs over the KT Quilt Shop. Note the ladder used to hang multiple quilts for a fun display. I usually have a collection of vintage red/white/blue quilts and bunting draped on the ladder.

Checkerboard Garden. One inch squares plus easy fusible applique creates a primitive garden perfect for your spring decorating.

Nothing is more cozy and cuddly than Moda's flannels. This easy quilt goes together in a flash. The vintage glider is a favorite spot for husband's patiently waiting for their wives in the quilt shop.

I love that I was able to include a variety of blocks and techniques, including fusible applique featuring our KT templates. Our Diamond template creates the Kaleidescope block using a 4-patch.
This cozy nook is in the bedroom upstairs in the KT Retreat.

Have I enticed you yet? Click HERE to find Cozy Quilts and Comforts at a very special price throughout the month of February for only $16.00 (retail value $27.99).That's almost half price! Your book will be signed by the author, Lynne Hagmeier (that's me). :)

Comment to win one of (3) copies of Cozy Quilts and Comforts.
Books will be shipped the middle of March after we return from our cruises.

Blockheads Week #48

I can't believe it's over! When the six of us gathered in the Moda booth at market more than 18 months ago to hatch a plan for a "dark side" block-of-the-week, 48 weeks of blocks sounded like forever! It's gone by in a blink. I've loved every week of each designer's blog posts and all the wonderful quilters who've shared their blocks on Facebook. Your response has blown me away! Thank you, thank you, to all my new Blockhead friends. Let's stay in touch.

Block #48 - Honeymoon by Carrie Nelson
This week's block comes to us from our Moda connection, Carrie (alias, Miss Rosie). Her blocks for this series have been fun to make and interesting to see in their various color interpretations. Kathy and Joy were of one mind this week, choosing to fussy cut Christmas prints and mix them with other KT fabrics. I appreciate both of them for making all 48 blocks - one traditionally pieced (Kathy) and the other made with my Layered Patchwork technique (Joy).

Click HERE to find Carrie's blog and the instructions for Honeymoon.

Click HERE to find my KT Layered Patchwork instructions.

Question-of-the-week:

Since we're sharing settings, 'fess up. Is your quilt finished? Or do you just have blocks and a plan?

If you could see me now, I would be laughing hysterically, wondering where 2017 went. Do I have a finished quilt? HA! I have a beautiful pile of blocks. Do I have a plan? Of course. Want to see?

I opted for an on point setting. Actually, Joy came up with the idea, but didn't know what to do with her straight set applique blocks. We collaborated on this design to highlight all the blocks. I really like the pieced blocks on point with setting squares between them. It adds a color plan so I won't have to remake blocks for a more scrappy overall look. I think Jan's blocks will shine set apart in the gold border. Love 'em. I'll need to make a few extra pieced blocks - 2 for the center and 4 for the corners. I chose to use 6 different fabrics for each color of the setting squares - 6 blacks, 6 greens, 6 golds, 6 purples and 6 navys, along with 6 reds for the setting triangles. I'll have plenty of leftovers to make the scrappy border. The quilt finishes 112" square - a really great size for king or queen beds. I can't wait to sleep under my Blockheads quilt, dreaming of quilters and 6" blocks. Is that weird???

I can't wait to see how all of you are planning to finish your quilts. Keep following & posting on the Blockheads FB page. You don't want to miss some exciting news coming soon. Stay tuned...

Thinking of Spring (& Cleaning)

KT Winners

Thanks to everyone who left such positive comments. It was a real mood booster. I'm definitely going through a bit of cabin fever this year between being stuck in the house sick for a while and no traveling. Usually, Robert and I are gone about a week to 10 days a month visiting & teaching at guilds and quilt shops. But I don't usually schedule much for December & January because of the weather. I miss seeing all of your smiling faces. We're sooooo looking forward to our cruises in a few weeks - lots of sunshine and lots of quilters. The perfect cure to the winter doldrums.

Amazingly, only about 3/4 of the giveaways are claimed, usually because I couldn't contact the winner directly via email. One good way to be sure I can contact you is to have your email address on your Google account. If I can click on your name in the comments section and go to your account, I can email you directly that you've won. Otherwise, you need to check back to see if you're the lucky winner. Just a thought...

Congratulations to our winners this week. The bag of Turnover triangles goes to:

Jackie Papallo- Oh, I love Turnovers, and you are one of the few designers that puts them out in your fabric lines. I'd be happy to help you clean those scraps out of your studio!
And, the leftover strips go to:
Susan Smith -So glad you are feeling better! I love making scrappy quilts so either bag would be great but the strips would be my choice.

 Thinking of Spring

Besides spring cleaning, I also have a delightfully spring-y project for you. Our newest fabric collection, Fresh Cut Flowers, is due in stores in March. Here's a look at the featured quilts for this collection from our booklet, Fresh Cut Flowers.

Fresh Cut Flowers 74"x84" lap quilt

Fresh Cut Flowers 112"x 112" king quilt

Simple construction in either traditional piecing or my Layered Patchwork technique make this scrappy quilt so much fun to assemble. The KT Melon and Wedge templates add a unique accent to the borders. Our KT Kut-ups precut fusible appliques make it easy to add a burst of springtime. We're offering either of these size quilts in a 7-month Block-of-the-Month (or more accurately, Chunk-of-the-Month).

So, here's what you'll receive over 7 months beginning in April -
Lap Quilt (74” x 84”) - Fresh Cut Flowers booklet, Layer Cake, fabric for quilt top & binding,
KT Fresh Cut Flowers Kut-ups ($62.95), buttons and shipping - $224.00.
7 Month BOM - $32/month.
OR
King Quilt (112” x 112”)- Fresh Cut Flowers booklet, fat 1/8 bundle, fabric for quilt top & binding, KT Fresh Cut Flowers Kut-ups and shipping - $339.50.
7 Month BOM - $48.50/month

KT Melon & Wedge templates available at a special price for BOM participants:
                                KT Melon - retail $9.95 - $6.50
                                KT Wedge - retail $11.95 - $8.00

Call Robert or Joy today at the KT Quilt Shop to reserve your Fresh Cut Flowers kit or to sign up for the BOM. 785-488-2120.

Stay tuned for more Fresh Cut Flowers projects over the next few weeks with more giveaways.

If you didn't win this week - don't worry - I'm just getting started. I have another box of scraps from Harvest Hill and several ziploc bags of little scraps - squares and triangles from I-don't-remember-what-projects (not pictured). Comment this week to win one of these two giveaways.

Moda Blockheads Week #47

Only one more week to go until we all have some fun settings to share with you. If the weather is as cold where you live as it is in Kansas, this is the perfect time to stay in and sew, sew, sew.

Question of the Week:

Now that we're nearing the end, if you could start your blocks and quilt over again, is there anything you would have done differently?
Absolutely! I would have made at least one more set of blocks each week with a color plan in mind. Now that I have my setting in place, I'm finding I have too many of one color and not enough of another. Going back to remake them is more time consuming than making several at once while it's fresh. Oh well, next time....

Blockheads # 47 - Starry 9-Patch by Lisa Bongean

Lisa gives us another great star block with a 9-patch center and split star points. Both Kathy and Joy chose a red/tan/blue color scheme for their blocks. Great minds?

More Cleaning House

Seems I started the new year off late after the flu won in overtime - and I'm still behind. Let's get caught up with TWO giveaways this week! I'll feel much better finding good homes for some lonely scrap bags. But first...

KT Winner

Congratulations to:
Angeliasue - Happy New Year! We all look forward to what you are designing for us this year. I would LOVE some of your scraps! How fun it would be to look at a quilt & say that was from Lynne. Feel better soon & stay warm. Even parts of coastal GA had possible snow last night!

KT Giveaways

This week, I have a stack of leftover Turnovers from several years ago (it's practically vintage). If you have a project in mind using triangles, you're in luck! All the cutting is done for you.

I also found a bag of strips leftover from the ends of bindings, Jelly Rolls and Honey Buns.
Wanna get strippy? Here's your chance!
Whew! I feel lighter already. Please comment to win either of the giveaways this week. If you prefer one over the other, include that little tidbit. See you next week. Stay warm and sew on.

Moda Blockheads Week #46

We're soooo close to the end! This has been a great 48 week series. I've enjoyed getting to know the other designers better, and LOVE hearing your thoughts and seeing all the amazing blocks on Facebook. Thanks to everyone who has participated. I'm anxious to see your finished quilts.

Question of the Week:

When you stitch - hand or machine - do you listen to anything?
When I'm sewing on my machine, I'll turn on music or watch something that's easy to follow, like reruns of Law and Order:SVU, Flea Market Flip, or Project Runway. If I'm hand-sewing, I'll sit in my comfy chair with the hubby and watch TV. Since we both work at KTQ, we try not to drag work into every evening, but it's technically bonding time since we're in the same room, right?

Blockheads #46 - Cat and Dog by Jan Patek

When I first started working in a quilt shop about 30 years ago, I was drawn to Jan's primitive, hand-drawn applique motifs. Her style is easily recognizable and perfect for my country-style home. One of the UFO's at the top of my list to finish is one of Jan's. It's a patriotic-themed quilt I hope to complete by summer. It's fun and challenging to play with other designer's patterns.

Kathy & Joy stitched up their blocks in cotton and wool again. Kathy's whimsical striped cotton fabric is adorable. Joy chose wools for texture on a plaid background. Both of them added stitched kitty whiskers.

Moda Blockheads Week #45

Blockheads Week #45

Question of the Week: Do you have any exciting plans or adventures on your calendar for 2018?
As a matter of fact, I do! Jenny Doan and I are cruisin' together again in Feb/March. We're teaching in back-to-back cruises this year - 2 weeks at sea, double the fun! If you missed my blog Friday, there were a few last minute cancellations due to illness, etc. If you're up for a great time quilting at sea, check it out.

I'll be in Dayton, OH for the One Stop Shop Hop in April. They're trying something new this year - a designer to teach workshops and share a couple trunk shows. Can't wait to see how the experiment works! In July, I'll be traveling to Portland, Maine for their annual quilt show to teach several classes. We're excited to be in an area of the country I've not taught before and plan to make time for sight-seeing in New England. September brings a very fun weekend event with Jenny again. For those who aren't all about boats, come play with us on land in San Diego for a luxurious retreat.

I'm trying to keep my website calendar up to date a little better this year, so check it out to see if I'm coming to your area.

Block #45 - Double Dutch by Jo Morton

I love, love, love this block full of flying geese. It has alot of movement and can be made in a variety of color combinations. Kathy selected a few of Jo's vintage hues for a softer vibe. Joy went autumn with KT fabrics in pumpkin and brown. The back demonstrates perfectly how Layered Patchwork simplifies with fewer seams and a flatter block.
