  1. What a fun and simple table runner. So many options for quilting the center. Great idea! Thanks!

  2. I have to say that I and my family enjoy the left overs more than the main event. I mix all the stuffing, turkey and gravey together and we eat this hot over mashed potatoes or bread for a couple of days after Thanksgiving..

Thanks for a chance at your drawing.

  3. Hubby just walked by and said "table runner-------I like the plain center and the little tee pees around the edge!" Going to sign up for your new KT Collectors Club, great idea.

  4. I think Brussels sprouts (cut in half or quarters) sauteed with garlic are quick and wonderful. So does my family. Thanks for the giveaway.

  5. Love the runner, the 'blank' middle allows for items to be displayed without taking away from the design of the runner. My favorite is the stuffing, and the next day is turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwiches.

  7. One of my "standards" for Thanksgiving Dinner is butternut squash lasagna as a side. It is really tasty! Thanks for the chance to win. I love the runner.

  8. I don't have something new because the 'stuffing' or dressing with gravy on it is what I wait all year for! Great idea to make a new table runner though :-)

  9. One of my favorite Thanksgiving dishes is the Cranberry Relish because it's one of the few things my husband cooks from scratch. And it does taste good!

  10. PS - the "little teepees" around the outside edge are actually mini charm squares folded in half with the folded edge covering the inside rectangles raw edge. Just layer, fold and position triangles and quilt the whole thing!

  17. Since a lot of Thansgiving food is heavy, I realy like the two following dishes; because they're on the lighter side. Mandrin orange jello sherbert salad and Taffy apple salad. The salads work really well for holiday brunches as well. Enjoy!

  19. For Thanksgiving, I always try to make my Mother's dressing. She used oysters in it to make it moist! Brings back so many memories of sitting at her table with all of us together.
Love your fabrics, Lynne and would love to win the giveaway. Thank you for having the opportunity.

  28. I started a tradition of making a turkey and rice side dish for Thanksgiving. It a simple dish made by boiling the Turkey neck and any other turkey parts to make a broth to cook the rice in. Add chopped cooked turkey (I boil some extra turkey legs or thighs for this in the broth) and add a little turkey gravy to the cooked rice and turkey. My kids all loved it as they grew up and continue the tradition every Thanksgiving.

  29. congrats to the winner.
the club sounds like a good idea.

    1- 16 oz cheese whiz

Thaw vegetables and prepare rice. Mix, add soup and cheese.

  31. We have been switching out the green bean casserole for roasted asparagus the last couple of years:
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees, prep the asparagus, spread them out in a jelly roll pan, drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil and a bit of sea salt over all. Roast about 5-7 minutes until crisp tender. Easy peasy and healthier than the bean concoction.
The table runner looks like a fun little project!

  32. We tend to be so traditional with our Thanksgiving faire except for Pumpkin Chiffon Pie. My Mom made that every year when I was growing up and even though most of the family prefers regular pumpkin pie, I make the chiffon variety every year as well and it does get eaten. I love the thought of brussel sprouts as a side dish...may have to try that this year. For the left overs it is Triple Cheese Turkey Tetrazzini and turkey rice soup. Would love the runner for my Thanksgiving table.

  33. I bring several dishes to our family Thanksgiving. The one I MUST bring is Spaghetti Corn. I've been told it is similar to Scalloped Corn but have never had that so I can't say for sure. The men love it and the dish is scraped clean every year. Thanks for the chance at your giveaway.

  34. your club sounds interesting, I'll have to think about that. I don't cook or bake my husband does all the cooking. So I don't have any great ideas, but I have 2 favorites baked apples and the other sweet potatoes with marshmellows. Thanks for the chance to win the table runner quilt. I like it.

  35. I love this because it's yummy and a bit different.

    Pineapple Casserole
    1 cup sugar
    6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    2 cups grated sharp cheddar
2 (20-ounce) cans pineapple chunks, drained, and 6 tablespoons pineapple juice reserved
1 cup cracker crumbs (recommended: Ritz)
8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, melted, plus extra for greasing pan

    Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease a medium-size casserole dish with butter.

In a large bowl, stir together the sugar and flour. Gradually stir in the cheese. Add the drained pineapple chunks, and stir until ingredients are well combined. Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish.

In another medium bowl, combine the cracker crumbs, melted butter, and reserved pineapple juice, stirring with a rubber spatula until evenly blended. Spread crumb mixture on top of pineapple mixture. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

  36. I can't mess too much with Thanksgiving dinner, my kids rebel. I do like to try different stuffing though. I like nuts, cranberries and onions mixed with the bread. My DIL makes luscious cheesecakes and they are becoming more and more the chosen for dessert, instead of pumpkin pie. Thanks.

  37. My husband does the traditional cooking and since my daughter is vegan and I am vegatarian we make some "extras"! This is a nice chili that everyone loves either on the side or the day after w/ a turkey sandwich! Easy too! black bean and sweet potato chili -

  42. Lovely runner! My Grandma always made a Waldorf style fruit salad with a couple of different apples chopped, halved red grapes, chopped celery, chopped walnuts, and a small amount of mayonnaise as a dressing. I have also used vanilla yogurt with good results. It is a nice crunchy complement to all that soft food on the Thanksgiving meal's plate!

  43. Thanksgiving side dish my mother makes is Broccoli Salad: cut up small raw florets, finely diced purple onion, walnuts (or pine nuts), plump golden raisins, dried cranberries, and dress with lite mayonnaise. It's crunchy and colorful. Thanks for the special giveaway.

  45. Along with (or entirely instead of) turkey, make something else. Last year we had chicken cutlet parmesan, pasta, veggies, garlic bread, etc (and some great desserts).... no turkey ... everyone loved it!

  46. We have scalloped corn every year and has been a tradition in our family since I was little. My oldest son loves it and always requests it. I will be searching for a pumpkin crisp because that sounds delicious.

  47. Nothing extroidinary on our table, we make the typical meal, but I really like my stuffing.

    Thanks for the giveaways!

  48. Our family loves sliced mushrooms and butter...you simply simmer, with a bit of water added in, as everything else is being cooked. Remove the cooked mushrooms and then spoon the 'water' over mashed potatoes...so yummy!
