Heartfelt - A Christmas Collection

KT Winner

Congratulations to Elizabeth , who commented, " I am a collector of your fabric and this looks like a fun pattern. I take classes to be inspired." You're the winner of this week's KT giveaway. Please send your mailing address to lynne@ktquilts.com to claim your Clara's Garden pattern & KT Wedge Template. Thanks to everyone who commented about taking quilting classes. Of all the various and interesting reasons, hanging out with other quilters tops the list. It's my favorite reason to teach, too!

From the Heart

From the Heart is KT's charm pattern for the Heartfelt fabric collection - my version of Christmas 2015. It features one charm pack, three fabrics and our new KT Melon Template. Half square triangles are pieced, then layered with the melons and little squares are added onto the corners for each block. The blocks are then just sewn together in rows. I can't wait to whip it up in other colorways, too - red/tan/blue, pumpkin/tan/brown, etc... What alternate colors would you choose?

Heartfelt charm pattern, From the Heart. Available in May.

Heartfelt fabric collection by KTQ. Arriving in May 2015.

I'm already collecting ideas for Christmas on Pinterest. So fun!

Simple ideas for fast & easy decorating. My kind of holiday!
Comment here on your favorite Pinterest site - or ebay, etc - and you could win the new From the Heart charm pattern and KT Melon Template.

  13. Pinterest is so wonderful that trying to say that I have a favorite board or site is like limiting myself to one single bite at a dessert smorgasbord. I enjoy a nibbling from a variety.

  14. I don't really understand pinterest at the moment. Just get to the sites kind of by mistake and for the moment it is mostly the Stonefields pin.

  15. Reading blogs the other day of a gal who went to one of your classes. I enjoyed seeing all of the pics and smiling faces! I hope to be trying your layered patchwork technique soon! So far I have the seed pillow on my list... and this new one you have posted here looks great! I do love it in the Christmas colors (does not shout ho! ho! ho! lol!).... so I'd probably make one this way and then a pumpkin colored one too as I do love the fall! Thanks for sharing the tree made of springs!!! I have a few of those springs around and just might make one of them for this year! :-)

  18. Pinterest is a "dangerous" place for me to go ... I lose HOURS of my life there ... one pin leads to another and another ... worse than potato chips! Love the Moda Cutting Table Blog, Missouri Star Quilt Tutorials (especially those with you and Jenny together!) and the tutorials on The Fat Quarter Company. Your new line is beautiful ... while you say it is a "Christmas" line I can see it being in quilts that are used year round. Can't wait to get my hands on some!! Linda

  20. I love the melons--for me it would be made from scrappy blues and shirting backgrounds. I have a couple dark blue KT fabrics that I find hard to cut up because they are favorites.
I spend way too much time on Pinterest--right now I am collecting ideas for the Auntie Green quilt. I would get a lot more sewing done if I could avoid time spent on lots of other sites too--not enough hours in the day!
