Cruisin' Along

Cruisin' with Jenny Doan

As you read this, Jenny and I will be cruisin' somewhere in the Caribbean, hanging out with 80 quilters who are as passionate about stitching as all of you. It's a unique experience to quilt and play while working with some of the warmest, giving-est people out there. Quilters are a truly unique breed in this crazy world - grounded, generous, positive. It's not unusual for someone in a class to need a piece of fabric and half a dozen quilters jump up with just what they need, so willing to share. How many groups of people respond like that! It's a pleasure and an honor to get to know each and every one of you. I wish you could all come with us. Wait - actually, you can! Our cruises for April 2016 and January 2017 are filled, but you can contact The Cruise Lady (seriously, that's her email address) to sign up for future events. Not a water lover? Join Jenny and me in the mecca of Missouri Star Quilt Co, Hamilton, MO, August 25-27 for a 3-day retreat. Space is limited so call Missouri Star today for more information.

Here's a peek at what we'll be working on this week...
Never cut off star points again with our KT's Layered Patchwork technique.
A great addition to your home decor in about 3 hours featuring KT's Wedge Template.

Don't forget! My tutorials at Craft U begin today! If you've followed my blog and wanted to learn - step by step - what my Layered Patchwork technique is all about, this is the perfect opportunity to follow along. 18. Like your method of no more cutting star points. Do you have a tutorial for this please or have I missed out on something

  19. I'm not one to get too excited about cruises, but with you and Jenny both being there, it sounds like that would be the one to go on. Of course, there's that money factor and other reasons I won't be heading off to sea for the fun, but I'll be watching from afar and enjoying through the stories I'll read. I do know that this would be a great week to get out of Northern IL with the wind chills yesterday at a chilly -26 below zero. Brrrr

Have a great time, which I am sure you and everyone else will do.
