The winner of last week's KT Perennials' Soduko quilt kit is Swarren. Congrats and please email your adress to us.
I love Sundays - sleeping in, hanging out in my robe while Robert prepares brunch, catching up on yard work or stitching on a personal project. Today was supposed to be in the 60's - the perfect day to finish cleaning up the garden. The high was actually only 48, but I braved the cold and trimmed up at least part of the dead flowers hanging over the sidewalk. Now I just need to finish Cooper's NE quilt before his birthday on Nov. 30th. He turns 10-years-old and requested a grown up quilt. What could I say? He helped design it and picked out fabric. Watch for photos when it's done.
Our Thanksgiving week giveaway is the Moda Mini Charm Sampler pack pictured above. Have fun making lots of mini quilts with 12 packs of (40)2 1/2" squares. Great for yo-yo's, applique pieces, a postage stamp sampler or either of the mini charm patterns from KT. I've had a great time playing with fabric collections I may not have purchased in large quantities making doll quilts, table runners and pillow toppers. It's a great way to try out a designer's look. We also have a few more available on our website - on sale now! - if you aren't the lucky winner.
Check back on Tuesday for a peek at my new Christmas fabric - for 2011!
Lynne
