KT Winner
Congratulations to our winner this week:Tu-Na Quilts -Of course, throw my name into the hat to win this box of scraps. I'm making a 1.5" postage stamp quilt so I can handle even small scraps. Very lovely quilts you've featured.
I hope you enjoy your box of Prairie Cactus scraps. Send pics of your finished postage stamp quilt. Sounds awesome!
More Prairie Cactus
If the Cactus Stars lap quilt from last week is more than you want to tackle before Christmas, how about a smaller project perfect for gift giving? Perhaps a runner...
Both of these projects are from the Prairie Cactus booklet along with last week's Cactus Stars quilt. The runner offers a generous background for a centerpiece without competing with the quilt's design. It features our small diamond template. The cactus points are made just like the Cactus Star. Layer a diamond over a triangle, topstitch, sew half squares together, done!
The pillow is even simpler using just 3 Prairie Cactus fabrics and the large diamond template. It makes an 18" pillow with a split back so you can easily cover an everyday pillow for the holidays.
Kits are available for both of these projects at ktquilts.com.
Don't forget our November Special - Prairie Cactus fabric is $9/yd. and the Prairie Cactus booklet with 6 projects is $12.
Comment this week to win a fat quarter 6-pack of assorted Prairie Cactus fabrics.
Watch for a special post this Friday for a chance to win some super prizes from Martingale and Moda - Martingale's new Moda Mini Marvel's book or a bag of 15 Moda Mini Charms. So fun! We'll have the link here.
I am amazed at your ability to keep up your enthusiasm with new designs and new fabrics. You must never sleep!
ReplyDeleteAfter completing a KT project this weekend at retreat, I still have enough fabric for another! Just love the fabrics, and I always get a lot of positive comments.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Cactus Star pillow. The layering looks fun.
ReplyDeleteI just love the Prairie Cactus fabrics. The pillow is so simple, but elegant. It would look great on a couch or chair any time of year. Thank you for the opportunity to win.

ReplyDeleteThe prairie cactus pattern just reminds me of Christmas. It's so pretty. Your work and ideas are great!
ReplyDeleteLove your scrappy quilts.
ReplyDeleteI love that table runner pattern. Table runners with plain centers work best for me since I tend to put a vase or some other type decoration on top. I hate to cover pretty patchwork so I prefer the plain centers.
ReplyDeleteI HAVE to make that table runner, it is beautiful and perfect for my Craftsman furniture
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your beautiful inspiration
Very cute projects and I love all of your fabrics. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of your give-aways!! It would be fun to make a table runner with your fabrics! I love the colors and prints; they are so perfect for creating beautiful projects!! May you continue to have a great Fall and a blessed Thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun table runner. And it could be made quickly. At this time of year I like quick. But I also like it to look like more than fabric slapped together. And you are so smart to suggest the pillow be just a cover. I don't have storage for pillows that I only display one month a year. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYour mind must never sleep! So many new & exciting things all the time. We are all so lucky to benefit from you! Thanks....
ReplyDeleteLynne, I'd love some Prairie Cactus fat qtrs! Love your fabric designs.
ReplyDeleteLove your fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI need to try the split back pillow. Love the colors of your collections. I planted 625 bulbs this fall so in the early spring my yard is going to be amazing. Thank you for the inspiration!
