Sharilovessewing-Talk
about crazy weather, 20" of snow in two days here!!! Your giveaway
would put a wonderful touch of spring in our home and my heart. I'm
keeping my fingers crossed you pick me.
From your comments, we're all ready for spring to arrive. It's ironic that my spring fabric seems to show up on a cold & dreary day when I've had about enough of winter, and the fall fabric appears on one of the last hot & humid days in September, when I'm ready for a break from the heat. I always see it as a sign that the seasons will change, I just need to be patient (not my strong suit). If you'd like a reminder that the newest fabric is just around the corner, join our KT Collector's Club. For just $25/3 times a year, you'll receive the latest KT fabric in your mailbox - 6 fat quarters, a KT mini charm and the new charm pattern. It's a little bit of spring, or fall, or Christmas, or flannel to inspire and lift your spirits. Call the KT Quilt Shop to sign up at 785-488-2120.

Country Road Flannels
I LOVE FLANNEL! I don't mean to shout, but I am truly addicted to the yummy softness of Moda's flannels. This year, instead of a Christmas line, I was able to create a collection of 40 snuggly, cuddly flannels in KT's warm, cozy colors and prints - PLUS 108" wide backing! That's wonderful news for those of us who love flannel on the back of cotton lap quilts, not just flannel quilts. My kids and grankids request flannel over any other fabric for their quilts. Their favorites are quilts with no batting, just two layers - the pieced front and flannel backing. It makes the quilt huggable without being heavy. For this collection, I envisioned a super fast & easy lap quilt featuring a star in colors for every season - Flannel Days, Starry Nights. There's a color combo for everyone on your list.

ReplyDeleteOh man, I love the star pattern with your new line of flannels! Those triangles add so much movement. Living in the mid-west, flannel is my go to fabric when the north winds begin to blow. Looking forward to seeing the whole line at my LQS this summer.
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing a friend’s flannel quilt I put “Do a Flannel Quilt” on my future project list. Winning would help me get to that project sooner than later. Thanks for the chance.

ReplyDeleteI too love flannel, especially on the backs of quilts for little one's. With flannel backings the blankets don't keep slipping off the babies. Your line is just beautiful and I would love to win it, but if not I think I will have to try to find a store with it.
ReplyDeleteFlannel AND KT?!?! WOW is all I can say!! If next winter is anything like last winter....mmmmmm snuggly :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't used flannel in quilting yet, but your new line makes me want to start - right away! A flannel quilt will help to chase away the cold Nebraska winter chills.

I have never made a flannel quilt but I think it's time. The starry pattern looks like it would be a perfect first flannel quilt pattern.
ReplyDeleteI love flannel also. These sure are pretty colors. Have a great day! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
ReplyDeleteI've never used flannels, but it sounds like a great idea! Sounds like it would be lighter weight without the batting. Great for Florida summers.
ReplyDeleteThe 3D effect this pattern creates with these rich colors will awe my friends to believe I toiled hours - and you & I will know that you have provided a "fast & easy" masterpiece. Also I am now inspired to step up my borders with design.
ReplyDeleteI will shout with you "I LOVE FLANNEL", it is so cozy. It's hard to pick my favorite, but I think I like "Summer Night", but hey I would be happy with any one they look like they are fun to make. I live in Kansas so I'm hoping maybe I can see one of your shows. jenellejb (at) aol (dot) com
ReplyDeleteAlways wanted to do a flannel quilt. This one looks great!
ReplyDeleteCoincidentally, I'm right in the middle of piecing a quilt for my grandson with KT brushed plaids; my first experience with something other than regular quilter's cotton. Can't wait to get my hands on these lovely new flannels!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of using two layers of flannel and no batting. Here in eastern NC, a lighter quilt is all we really need most of the time.
ReplyDeleteYour new flannel line is beautiful and I really like your star pattern. Thanks

ReplyDeleteA little over two years ago I decided to teach myself to quilt.I must admit it was out of necessity because my husband is disabled and I gave up working to stay at home with him and I needed something for me. As it turned out I was hooked. My first quilt was Using Sunflower Song Layer cake, and from then on Kansas troubles is my go to fabric for all my quilts.I love the flannels and all the colors compliment each new collection . I am still learning but I will always choose Kansas Trouble fabric over all others. Thank you .
ReplyDeleteYou do flannel too? You really are trying to get me addicted to Kansas Trouble fabric.
ReplyDeleteJuly will be a perfect time to dream of Wintry Afternoons and snuggling under flannel. We may have relatively mild winters but we sure get hot summers here in San Antonio, Tx!
ReplyDeleteOOOOO how I love fannels as well. Although I make my home most of the time here in Kansas. I always look forward to spending time under my flannel quilts in our family cabin in Colorado! jmh
ReplyDeleteI've only made one flannel quilt in the many quilts over the years. I'd love some KT flannels to start another one. They are so cozy!
