KT Winner
The winner of our Holly Joy Mini Table Treat is (drum roll, please):
Bonnie58 - Love
the toppers. It is never too late to start a project for Xmas. If I
don't finish it this year, it will be done for next year!
Thanks to everyone who commented. Watch for more end of year cleaning-out-the-bins-and-baskets-giveaways later this week. Robert and I are off for a couple days to finish up our Christmas shopping and soak up the holiday spirit.
If anyone knows how to block comments from unwanted people, please, please, let me know. I've deleted them as fast as I can, but they just keep coming back. So frustrating. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Christmas Fun
I have a Christmas project going all year long. I enjoy stitching on Christmas projects while watching sappy Hallmark movies and drinking hot cocoa in the light of the tree, even if I know it won't be completed this holiday season. Here are a few of my favorite Christmas quilts that are perfect for this time of year.
Warm Memories - Advent Wall Quilt |
Joyful Wishes Charm quilt |
Joyful Wishes uses a Christmas-themed charm pack, but you can always dig into your stash for the colors of the season. Makes a fun hostess gift.
Christmas J-O-Y |
Three Layer Cake squares, some buttons and a little stitching are all you need to make a welcoming quilt for your entry.
Stars on a Roll - Jelly Roll lap quilt |
I want to make Stars on a Roll with my new Christmas line, but that will have to wait for next year. This goes together in about 10 hours, start to finish.
Enjoy the holiday season. As Moms and women and quilters, we give to everyone else first. We want the tree, the table, the gifts wrapped perfectly, as if we're Joanna Gaines or Martha Stewart with a staff to help behind the scenes.
Take time for yourself.
Breathe.
Soak in the atmosphere.
Everything doesn't have to be perfect. It's about the people and the experiences.
(I repeat this to myself every day this time of year.)
Have a happy holiday season!
