We're not out of the cold yet here in Kansas, but I can see spring just around the corner. I intended to make a couple flannel quilts over the winter, but somehow didn't find the time. So, I'm starting now. Are you with me? Let's get a head start on warm and cuddly quilts for cool spring evenings, easy throws for picnics at the lake, or something soft & cuddly to curl up by the fire this fall.
Our KT March Special will help you on your way to making snuggly flannel quilts for everyone on your list. We're offering all of our flannel fabric and kits 20% off plus Free Shipping throughout the month of March. Here's a look at some of the fun quilts you can start on today for cozy nights to come.
Flannel Days, Starry Nights features large, easy blocks for lap size quilts that are sure to please. There are five colorways available for spring, summer, fall, winter & Christmas - limited quantities of each. Joy and I experimented with batting choices for a variety of coziness. The red, tan blue Summer Evening quilt was quilted with only a flannel backing for a two-layer lightweight, but cozy throw perfect for summer evenings on the porch. For the spring green, purple, tan quilt, Spring Morning, she used flannel as batting for three cuddly layers of softness. In the remaining quilts - Autumn Days, Christmas Eve, and Winter Nights - she used thin or medium-weight cotton batting for different levels of warmth. Choose your star, choose your batting option for the season.
The Country Road flannel fabrics are 20% as well, offering unlimited possibilities for cuddly quilts. Choose a pattern, choose your flannels. Here's the link to the Country Road swatch chart for your convenience. Print it off, make your selections, and order today! Country Road Fabric HERE
I would recommend my Country Road booklet with two quilts, each in two sizes for lots of options. Both feature simple piecing either in staggered strips for Rambling Road, or stars & checkerboards for Crossroads. We have a few kits left with a Country Road Layer Cake, but they're easily cut from fat 1/8's, as well.
Be sure to call the store if you have any questions. Robert and Joy are always happy to help. If the kit is out-of-stock on our website before you can grab one, Joy might be able to make you a kit (she's like that :).
Another great option for flannel quilts is my Windmills & Fence Posts quilts. This booklet offers easy strip piecing with a twist for simple quilts with lots of charm. It's on my list!

Oh, by the way, Robert & I are taking a little break, so orders will be shipped the week of March 8th. Thanks for your understanding.
