KT Favorites Charming Thursday

After 10 years and 32 fabric lines with Moda, I was able to reintroduce some of my favorites in a basic line we call KT Favorites. Not very original, but it gets the point across. Every couple years or so, we'll freshen things up with some new favs, so if you have any requests....

To celebrate the first 10 years of KT, I designed a BOM quilt with 33 elements - blocks and appliques - that represent each of the 33 collections and finished it off with a KT border using all the fabrics in the quilt. Lois and I had a great time pulling prints out of my stash from the original lines for each block. It's one of my favorite quilts so far.

Can you find Seeds of Time (3 bachelor button blocks along the bottom), Bound to the Prairie (Spiderweb), Aunt Purdy's (purple flowers on right side) and Kansas Winter (cream wool snowflake lower center). The winner this week will receive the KT Favorites book plus the charm pack! Comment by Sunday 10pm. and the handy dandy random number thing-a-ma-jig will pick the winner to be announced Monday, barring worms, power outages and other natural disasters.

If you like BOM's and enjoyed KT Favorites, here's a sneak peek at the new BOM for next year, Bird's Eye View. All the blocks are based on bird-themed quilt blocks (according to Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Blocks) and the view from my studio windows. I'll post a full picture after Lori Kukuk works her magic quilting it.

    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT. This is a BOM I must do. My colors, your fabrics, can it get any better?! (Except for the A-stuff, but I will "suffer" through that part!)Will you be posting later on when it will be available and how we can get it?     I love that quilt!!! Samplers are certainly some of my most favorite designs, and that one is stunning!! And, the new BOM for the coming year looks like it is going to be gorgeous! I am definitely checking into that one-- love the bird theme! :-) Thanks for the chance to win-- I'd surely love to have that sampler pattern and the charms would be a great way to start working on it! :-)

    Samplers are a fave of mine! Great project, Lynne! And since I was catching up on your blog this a.m., let me say I LOVE my Nikon D70 .... have also had the D50 .... can never go wrong. It even allows one to shoot video - which is kind of cool for blogs .... Thanks for your summer giveaway, it's been fun seeing all your projects - you are one busy gal (and patient considering the challenges with power outages and rain!)

    I love the quilt... I did not get to do your first BOM, but I have seen it at a local shop. I would love to do the next one!
    What I would like to see is a book or just patterns of "A Year of KT..." the photos here on the blog are just wonderful! I just love October! And July is not to back also! :)!

    Have a good day of writing... off to sew some on my sampler. It was a kit I purchased in Colorado last fall on our vacation. It is all done in KT fabrics. I have 3 blocks to do and then I can sew it together and get it quilted!

    We all cannot wait to see what you come up with next!

    I love the "birds on a wire" in your new BOM!
    The "old" BOM is beautiful, too. Designing it from your favorite fabrics from earlier years must have brought back a lot of memories.

    Another wonderful project! I think its fabulous to bring back some of our favorite past designs. I love looking at my older projects and thinking a certain fabric would work so well in a new one, but then it's not available.     BTW, a KT quilt pattern was the first one I ever bought. Most of them I just look at the picture and wing it but that one I had to have! A book really tempts me.

    Never heard of frayed edge quilting until I attended your lecture in Dansville NY a couple weeks ago.
