Please join us Monday, April 16 for APQ's radio talk show with host Pat Sloan. I'm a little nervous since I tend to say whatever comes to mind and you can't take back "Oh crap!" on the radio! Hope you'll all be listening, or at least saying a little prayer that I don't embarass myself too much. Thanks!
YOU'LL BE COOL ♥

Good for you to be on the air. You'll do just fine.
ReplyDeleteCan I share something that helped me with going for job interviews? I actually read it on the sign outside a church and it pentetrated my tempest and helped me keep the nerves steady. The sign read: "Whatever you do today, don't forget to breathe" Funny, but the act of inhaling quietly just before I answered each question...and it doesn't matter how nice the prospective employer is..it still feels as if you are being grilled. The anwer kind of "came" to me while I was busy breathing and a calmness descended and the end result was a job..(yay, they liked me!!!) It might help you, oh and of course, I will pray too. All the best and you know that we already like you!! You'll be wonderful, Lynne (have fun)!
ReplyDeleteGo ahead and say "oh crap". My son is a "button pusher" at a radio station in L.A. and he tells me there's a 3 second delay from when you say "oh crap" to when it actually goes out live on the air thus making his job important when he stops comments such as "oh crap" from getting over the airwaves...LOL! Enjoy your radio time :)
ReplyDeleteBut Lynn, (said in a whiny irritating nasal voice) if you don't say "Oh crap" what are you going to say "Oh S**%" LOL couldn't help but tease you. You know you will do fine. Just imagine Pat is naked, just don't get the giggles, oh wait why don't you get the giggles and give them to Pat. Did you see the clip on Anderson Cooper having the giggles while on the air recently. OMGosh I laughed until I thought tears would surely run down my legs!!!

I feel better when I hear someone admit they say what they are thinking. Welcome to my world. My hubby gets somewhat upset with me at times. Ok sometimes too often.
ReplyDeleteWonder how many times you will be bleeped? This could be fun.
Make sure you have your favorite coffee, tea, etc there to help settle any nerves.
Be yourself, and enjoy yourself, then what happens, happens.
I wouldn't say I'm a regular here but have visited many times, but I am a regular over at Pat's blog, FB and her forum, and I'm sure she will put you instantly at ease. I'm looking forward to the interview and crazy about your fabrics - they are just up my alley, so warm and cozy and they go extremely well in my home. Break a leg..... well, not literally!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteHow did it go today? I bet it was great!
