Sneak Peek

KT Winner

Congratulations to Laurie from TX. You're the winner of the Icicle Stars booklet. Thanks to you and everyone for commenting. I enjoyed hearing about all of your favorite summer adventures - at home and travelling. I love anywhere near the water where it's cooler than Kansas. No vacation for me this summer, though. The store is keeping us busy and the grankids are coming and going over the next few weeks. At least it's a good excuse to go to the pool and eat ice cream!

Sneak Peek

KT's newest fabric line, Sweet Pea, debuted at Spring Market in Portland. Here's a first look. For our fall collection, we have rich shades of green, pumpkin, brown, navy, red, gold & tan. The tan with multi-colored dots is my absolute favorite print in this line - I'll be using that as a background ALOT! Really like the navy medium print - it also comes in red, green and tan tone-on-tones.

The project for Sweet Pea is Through the Year. It continues our theme from the Changing Seasons HB runner that offers 14" quilted squares to button on for the seasons. Mix and match any of our toppers to button on a pillow, the runner or our new wall quilt. With the double churn dash background, it's great on it's own, too!
44" sq. wall quilt with buttons

Fall Harvest Topper 14" sq.

Happy Birthday America topper 14" sq.

Joy of the Season topper 14" sq.

Bloomin' Basket topper 14" sq.
I'm always looking for suggestions for additonal toppers for pillows, the runner and wall quilt. What motif would you like to decorate your home? Comment here to win a bag full of scrap strips & squares leftover from these projects. Be the first on your block to own some Sweet Pea!

  15. I love that new Sweet Pea and what a great idea for the Through the Seasons Project! We call our farm the Four Seasons Farm so this would be perfect for my decor. One thing that I've been looking for and haven't yet found is a nativity wall quilt pattern. Could you do one of those?

  16. Love your new line! What about a coordinating series of a pillow cover, place mats, and table runner/topper. You could give the whole series or just a part as a gift. I am always looking for ideas for small quilt to give as gifts and have used your patterns for many years. I like to do flowers and seasonal.

I use flags, stars, sheep, hares, Rose of Sharon applique flowers, pineapples and birds a lot! Summer is watermelon and flags to me! I piece and applique by machine. 23. I love your fabrics. To me when I see them it's like coming home. You asked about design suggestions. In my family when my children were small (they're in their 30"s now) I used to decorate for the family birthdays. We had a birthday table cloth, center piece etc. It was the same one for everyone's birthday but it meant someone had an extra special day. The birthday person got to choose what they wanted for dinner. We had some really interesting dinners. It brings back memories. Thanks for all you do.
