Moda Blockheads Week #14

The weeks are flying by! I can't believe we're already more than a quarter of the way through our 48 block marathon. I'm more and more excited each week as I see you post your blocks on FB with quirky and creative twists. I anxiously await seeing the interesting variations you'll come up with for settings for your projects. I'm working on mine, a little at a time, and will show you my idea in a couple weeks.

Block #14 - Square in a Square by Betsy Chutchian

This week's block is one of my favorites. Find the instructions for Betsy's block at the link below along with her delightful little blocks. Aren't those too fun?

Betsy's Blog - http://betsysbestquiltsandmore.blogspot.com/

For those of you playing with my layered patchwork method for your blocks, click  HERE  for my my optional instructions.

Here are both blocks - traditional piecing on the left; layered patchwork on the right. I'm having fun with my new Christmas collection, Gooseberry Lane. The new charm quilt, Joyful Wishes, was within reach so I used the back of it for my background. See the front below. Now available - patterns and kits plus our Gooseberry Sampler 6-month BOM.

Watch for new Market releases on Monday, then another Blockheads BOW on Wednesday. See you then!

  7. Love your Gooseberry Lane line of fabrics. Thank you for designing some of the blocks for this Blockheads project, this is the first time I have participated in something like this. I find myself addicted to this project. Several times a day I visit the Facebook page to see all the beautiful and different block creations, and can't wait to pour my cup of coffee and start reading all the blogs on Wednesday mornings.
