12 Days of Christmas Giveaway - Day 10
Our giveaway for Day 10 is a duo of new patterns featuring our KT Favorites collection, now arriving in quilt shops. Moda selected 20 of the 39 prints to double up in precuts for our first ever Favorites Layer Cakes, Charms and Jelly Rolls. Our Barn Raising quilt features the KT Five & Dime Ruler to make one simple block with a Layer Cake & Charm that can be arranged a dozen different ways. We give you 4 in the pattern to get you started. My favorite is the Barn Raising setting.KT Dugout uses a Jelly Roll to good advantage, adding layered triangles to the corners of strips. With almost half tans/half darks in this collection of precuts, it's been fun playing with all the options. You can play, too, with these two patterns to inspire you.

ReplyDeleteThis is my first Christmas without my mother. Her mother taught me to quilt, but my mother didn't try till 80! I finally convinced her to take a class I taught. In the next 6 years she made 17 quilts, all quilted by hand. This look is both our favorite, scrappy and rich color. Her favorite expression when pleased with a job well done was "Damn I'm Good" the only time she ever swore lol. I know she's with me as I put the the finishing touches on what I've made for Christmas. Just last night I could hear her in my head "your not going to leave this like that are you?" Once again she was right. I'm gifted with the love of a mother and grandmother who passed on to me the love of sewing, knitting and quilting.
ReplyDeleteThese patterns are exactly what I was looking for as my next project!
ReplyDeleteI just love Kansas Troubles fabric! That is ALL I want to sew with!
