ReplyDeleteMy favorite flower and KT 12 Days of Christmas so far!!! The sunflower is very precious to our family. :) Our son Ethan's favorite flower was the sunflower. It's a precious reminder of him, and of God's magnificent creation!

Sunflowers are such happy flowers! I don't live in Kansas, but several years ago a nearby farmer planted a field of sunflowers. It was so fun to drive by and see them.

ReplyDeleteA farm near our home planted a field of sunflowers this past summer ... they were amazing!! Tons of people stopped to take family pictures in them. Love the way they "follow" the sun ;-) Linda

I've always loved the idea of a sunflower house. Tall sunflowers are planted in a large circle, and when they grow and bloom, mom/grandmom and the little ones can sit in the circle and have tea (or Kool-Aide)!

ReplyDeleteI planted sunflowers along my garden's edge and they got huge. Then my cow got through the garden gate and ate the big sunflower heads! She loved it. Guess I will plant more next year for their beauty and my cow!
