It's not too late for Christmas quilts!

KT Winner

Congratulations to:
Heather - Your mini marvel Dashing quilt is so sweet! I love it!

Thanks for commenting and sharing, Heather. Hope you enjoy the new Moda Mini Marvels book. It's loaded with tons of mini fun!

I love to hear from each of you every week. I read every word and appreciate your support and enthusiasm for everything KTQ. Working alone in my studio most days, it's such a happy connection for me. The next best thing to traveling and teaching amongst quilters. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Let me know if there's someone you'd like to see in these pages in the future. Another KT Stitch With Me? More info on layered patchwork? More pictures of the store? I want this to be a conversation between us as friends. You're all so important to the success of KT. Thank you.

November Special

This month, we're featuring our Prairie Cactus fabric and booklet in the KT Quilt Shop and online. Prairie Cactus fabric is on sale for $9/yd. (KT price $10.50/yd. MSRP $11.95/yd.) Our Prairie Cactus booklet with 6 different projects is on sale for $12.00 (KT price $15.95). Watch over the next few weeks for more project options for fast & easy quilts that are still "sew" doable by the holidays.

My favorite quilt in this book is the Cactus Stars lap quilt featuring our new KT Diamond Template and my layered patchwork technique. It simplifies and perfects the traditional Hunter's Star for less stress and more dimension.

Cactus Stars featuring Prairie Cactus fat 1/8 bundle.

Rustic Stars featuring assorted KT fabrics.
The block starts with simple half square triangles layered with a diamond.

Topstitch the diamond and piece together the triangles. Easy!
Comment to win a box of Prairie Cactus scraps leftover from all the different projects. More giveaways to inspire Christmas stitching next week.

Happy November!

  20. Lynne, it's so neat that you read each and every comment and that it brightens your days in the studio! You certainly brighten my day each week you post because your fabric colors and themes are my favorite from Moda. Also, I have sort of an obsession with Kansas and Laura Ingalls Wilder and living in a cabin on the prairie. :) With that all said, yes please, do share more on your layered patchwork technique. Also, could you share more photos of your studio, your town, the prairie, wildflowers in bloom in spring, etc.? And lastly, Cactus Stars is a winner!!! It's so beautifil!!!!

The fact that you can still coordinate fabrics over time is a huge plus to me and keeps me coming back. Thanks!
