KT Winner and Another Giveaway
Only 2 more weeks until Christmas! Are your stockings hung? Cookies baked? Gifts wrapped? Uh, that would be a big "NO" from me. But I'm working on it a little each day. Robert is leaving for a long weekend, so I'll be finishing up the last couple sewing projects (pillows and a runner), adding the finishing touches to a chalkboard project, and covering a lamp shade with fabric for Delainey's Paris-themed bedroom. I'll try to remember to take some pictures before wrapping it all up.The winner of our Christmas Giveaway Week #1 is:
Excited about the December surprises!! My birthday is in December!!
Congratulations AND Happy Birthday, Lin! You've won a $25 KT Gift Certificate. (I know it says $20 in the previous blog post, but we don't have $20 Gift Certificates. Senior moment, sorry. But good for you!)
Today, we have a another gift for you! Our Christmas Giveaway for Week #2 is my Gooseberry Sampler booklet and a box of leftover fabrics from the Gooseberry Lane collection. Comment on your holiday preparations to win a goodie box full of KT Christmas wonderfulness.
Waiting anxiously for my kitchen update to finish so that I can decorate. We started in August but a few other projects were added and some of the craftsmen are dragging their feet. Soon, I’m sure, I will be able to begin to decorate.
ReplyDeleteThe house is done and now we start on the cookies. The fun part.
ReplyDeleteI have the flu, so my holiday preparations have come to a screeching halt. Here's hoping I rebound in a hurry, or a good portion of the extended family will find themselves feeling woebegone until I'm back on my feet. Another good reason to follow the example of "wrapped and done by December 1", always my goal, never my achievement.
ReplyDeleteFrantic! Trying to finish making gifts while putting the finishing touches on my first pattern!
ReplyDeleteOur tree and most of the decorations are up. I'd love to get some of the wrapping done this weekend so that I can start baking next week. I have a few gifts still to make but they are fairly quick (baby bibs) so I'm not panicking!
ReplyDeleteI am slowly finishing my holiday prep. I will be starting my cookies this weekend.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, I'm way behind in my Christmas plans. No matter what, the main thing I love about Christmas is having the family together, so the rest doesn't seem so important. Hopefully, I'll get the rest of the gifts made in time. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWe finally have some cold weather, really seems like Christmas now. We will go out and decorate one of the spruce trees on the lawn. This is what puts me in the mood.
ReplyDeleteThe only preparations I've made for holiday decorating is hanging up one wall hanging. I've been busy trying to finish up a queen-sized quilt to go on the new bed that my daughter will sleep on when she arrives for the holidays from VA. I live in IL and am so excited to see her! Upon her arrival, cookie baking will commence! ☺
ReplyDeleteI have my christmas cards done, but that is pretty much it. I will start ramping up this weekend. (I hope..) Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThe house is partly decorated; the tree goes up this weekend. I'm working on a block-of-the-week project and using Kansas Troubles fabrics. But I'm starting to run low! I could really use the Gooseberry Lane book and those scraps. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for my 2 1/2 year old grandson to get here so we can get this party started!
ReplyDeleteHoliday prep has been on hold for a week, but I'll make good progress tomorrow! I hope to bake, wrap presents and sew a gift or two also. Family time is coming... can't wait! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI have about half of my shopping done, but nothing else is done. Too early for me.
ReplyDeletecork@pa.rr.com
The decorations are pretty much done and the shopping is ongoing while I squeeze in a project for a friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm just recovering from a broken leg and dislocated foot so my holiday preparations are fewer this year...I'm relying on daughters to take up the slack. Our plans always include birthday preparations as well. Since we're all together we celebrate my birthday which comes 5 days after Christmas, my youngest daughters whose birthday is 5 days after mine and one of my sons-in law's whose birthday is Christmas Eve. It's quite a feat sometimes to separate the Christmas wrappings from the birthday.
ReplyDeleteDecorations and tree are up. Still shopping and then the wrapping will begin. Just decided to make a table topper yesterday so that has to be quilted. There never seems to be enough time to get it all done. Maybe if I'd start earlier, it would help. LOL
ReplyDeleteThis week I'm working on small plaid Christmas stockings to put hand lotion in for my sewing groups. Still have the cards, cookies and wrapping to do!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I need to get moving on getting ready for Christmas. I'm still sewing, just can't stop. All three of my kids and coming home so the plan is to put them to work. Ha Ha. Everything always falls in place sew i'm hoping it will this year too. We will see. Merry Christmas Pam from Canada
ReplyDeleteI haven't started decorating yet, but hopefully this week! I have two very spoiled kitties, so the less time they have to destroy the tree, the better. :D
ReplyDeleteWe are actually having our family Christmas this Sunday so lots of preparations have been happening. Thanks for the generous giveawy.
ReplyDeleteThe only Christmas decorating I have done is to hang a live greens wreath at my front door amidst the Thanksgiving and Halloween decor. Eek! I am planning to make the transition today. A sinus infection has slowed me down this year. Thanks for the opportunity to win something from my all time favorite designer!
ReplyDeletePresents are purchased and wrapped, and now I am deep into holiday baking.
ReplyDeleteDecorating almost finished, 50% of all shopping finished, nothing wrapped, no baking done, but it's all doable, what gets done, gets done, what doesn't, doesn't. The most important thing is that we are going to be able to be together as a family, and that's the absolute best part of the holidays! Happy Holiddays and thank you for chance to win a lovely prize!
ReplyDeleteMy gifts are mostly purchased and wrapped. I am finishing up the gifts for our Christmas adopted family as well. Now I need to do some baking and finish up some handmade gifts. How does time go so fast?
ReplyDeleteI'm sooo far behind. Seems like I procrastinate more each year. But I always manage to pull it all together at the end!
ReplyDeleteI do have most of the decorations up, but still more shopping and all the wrapping left to do. Baking is on the to do list too. Thanks for a chance to win this lovely pattern. Merry Christmas to you and your's!
ReplyDeleteCarmen
We have our decorations up, and now I am feverishly trying to finish gift projects. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI've changed out a wall hanging and hung a wreath, but nothing else yet. Off to get our tree today, then it will all come together.
ReplyDeleteI have my Christmas decorations up and the presents are wrapped!! Yaaayy! I bought a painted tray for a new decoration this year and I love it....now where will it go. Also making a new Christmas wall hanging. It's a good year.
ReplyDeleteI put up a few Christmas decorations in every room in my small house. Most of them are "old friends" and I still love them! I light candles in each room in the evening for a warm and cozy feeling (I live in Wisconsin so we need that!) Gorgeous Christmas quilt! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteI have my house decorated and will be working on baking, gift wrapping, and getting the final touches for the family Christmas party this weekend. This has been a tough year for some members of the family, so can't wait to give them hugs!!
ReplyDeleteMy decorations are up, and I am ready.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I will be putting up the tree, and trying to finish up some Christmas projects...love to get out my favorite decorations each year, and reflect on the good memories. Thanks for the give-away!
ReplyDeleteA lot of my decorations are packed away because our house is for sale, but I did unearth some. Plus I give ornaments as random gifts so a part of me is present in other more wildly decorated homes of the people I love.
ReplyDeleteI have finished a quilt for my son and now to do a throw for my son in law. I'm doing a couple of things for the grandkids and time is flying by.
ReplyDeleteBaking cookies next week is all I have left to do.
ReplyDeleteI have a stocking to make for a new=botn grandson and a pillow and stuffed animal to make for gifts. Some decorating is done with more to come as well as lots of cleaning. I have lots yet to do, but It will be fun!
ReplyDeleteI am finishing up some knitting and quilting a few mug rugs and one lap quilt! Baking yet to be done! Thank you and happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteThis year will be a little different. What a wonderful Christmas package you're giving away! Have a blessed Christmas.
ReplyDeleteChris
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughter is coming this weekend to frost sugar
cookies and sew some gifts for her family. She is a
new sewer and loves it.
The house is decorated inside and outside. The Christmas candy and cookies are done. All gifts are purchased and wrapped. Just need to write my Christmas cards. Everything is done because I retired 2 months ago. LOVE RETIREMENT!!
ReplyDeleteI used to put up two Christmas trees; one upstairs filled with Precious Moments ornaments and white and gold decorations; and one in the family room downstairs - our Go Big Red Nebraska tree. As we have aged, the energy level doesn't extend to putting up both. The Go Big Red tree goes up this weekend. We also have a collection of Santas which always find their way throughout the house. My favorite decoration is a country sign on the front porch which says "Our house is filled with Santa, but our hearts are filled with Jesus."
ReplyDeleteOHHHH....we are moving on 12/20 to Goodyear, AZ. Everything is packed and in boxes. I have a pre-lit tree and may actually pull it out of the box and plug it in! Can't wait to get my sewing room set up and start creating at a whirlwind speed to make up this lost time! Have a wonderful Holiday season to everyone!
ReplyDeleteI just have to stop adding things to the house, so that I can start the baking. Winding down as the weeks get closer. This is so much fun! Company will be coming to share it all. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeletewe have a few things out for decoration, but we will be traveling in our 5th wheel camper over the holidays so Yippee, that will be a lot of fun. Thanks for the fun.

ReplyDeleteLove Kay’s porch sign. Getting ready for Christmas by having deadlines to meet. So far meeting them but beginning to receive cards & oh no I’ve got to fit them in. Enjoy the season everyone.
DeleteMy only prep is to make a dish to take to my brother's house. Love having Christmas celebrations at someone else's place--I don't even have to clean--lol!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas. My outside decorations are up, but no tree up inside. In the process of moving a daughter in to my sewing room, so living room is full of sewing things. We will travel to other daughter's home for Christmas. We will be together to celebrate Jesus's birth.
ReplyDeleteI'm still making gifts for siblings living in other states (alas mail too!) and for my 4 kids and grandkids! I never seem to start early enough. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI'm recovering from a knee replacement so my Christmas preparation is way behind.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to go out today, and finish. At least all the Christmas that has to be mailed has been mailed. BUT why do we always find a perfect gift the day after it gets mailed?
ReplyDeleteI am sooo excited for Christmas AND soooo behind. I couldn't sleep last night, so I made my lists and I plan to Go into Action this weekend. Gotta tie up all those loose ends
ReplyDeleteI have the house all decorated and will start my baking probably end of next week. I have some potholders I would still like to get made before Christmas arrives.
ReplyDeleteI have started decoating and I have a a large pan of cinnamon rolls in the freezer. I probably won't get much more baking done.
ReplyDeleteMuch going on at my house with many unfinished Christmas projects! Just bought KT layer cake and border fabric to make something for me!
ReplyDeleteIt is always so busy at the holidays. Every year I how to start early and then it just sneaks up on me. I always have to abandon a couple of projects, but I live the hustle, bustle and the times with family.
ReplyDeleteThe tree is up but not much else. Hope to get the rest done this weekend since my son will be coming back from college next weekend!
ReplyDeleteChristmas cones at the same tine every year ... you would think I'd have it down by now! The house is decorated, but the gifts are still being made and I haven't even begun shopping yet!!! Yikes, better get a move on it! I feel a productive weekend coming.
ReplyDeleteJust a little decorating left to day, send out the Christmas cards and finish up the gifts/wrapping.
ReplyDeleteI've done nothing so far to prepare for Christmas. I've been busy working on a mystery quilt, trying to keep up with the clues.
ReplyDeleteWe're not doing much for Christmas this year, but the trees are going up today! Shopping and shipping are all done, so we just get to sit back and relax now. Thanks for a chance to win! Love all things KT.
ReplyDeleteDreaming of beautiful fabric and fun patterns dancing in my head at Christmas time.
ReplyDeleteThe decorations are up and the shopping is done early this year. My amazing hubby is taking me to Disney World next week to celebrate my one year cancer free diagnosis! I am so excited ... can't wait for all the holiday festivities and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!
ReplyDeleteMy preparations are going like yours! I work overtime during the Christmas season so I'm lucky to get a wreath on the door. I'm trying to get a twin quilt finished for one of my grandsons now and if I get that done I'll be one happy grandma! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWe're moving for Christmas!! Will probably just get our tree up and decorated in time for our traditional family Christmas Eve celebration. Hope to find the right boxes that contain what I'll need to pull of Christmas morning food ;) Merry Christmas everyone!
ReplyDeleteI had knee replacement at thanksgiving so keeping it a little low for the holidays!
ReplyDeleteAlmost done with the decorating, some of the gifts are purchased, but no wrapping or baking done yet!
ReplyDeleteChristmas Eve we have a tradition of making Christmas mince pies together before going to the evening carol service. My hubby and I started this our first Christmas we were married. When the children where old enough they joined in. If they come home they join in.
ReplyDeleteI'm decorating a little every day - don't want to rush it! My biggest challenge is finding something delicious that a diet -restricted guest will love. Now to finish that Christmas table runner!
ReplyDeleteLove the Gooseberry Sampler! Still working on gifts but the house is decorated. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am doing a little bit at a time, but we don't celebrate our family Christmas until middle of January, so I get a little extra time!
ReplyDeleteJust finishing up gifts and then baking and last minute decorating to finish. I love the Gooseberry Sampler!
ReplyDeleteNancy

ReplyDeleteLaser lights on the outside of the house. Christmas quilts and table toppers out
ReplyDeleteI'll do my baking next week, temptations of all the goodies are hard to resist. Christmas is pretty low key for us so I do get to spend some time in my sewing room.
ReplyDeleteMailed my gifts today and will start on the cards tomorrow. I'm ahead of schedule this year! I plan to bake lemon tea bread next week for neighbors as we have an abundance of lemons this year.

ReplyDeleteWe are having Christmas at my house next Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilting style and I love Gooseberry. My decorations are going up a day at a time. My next plan is to put up my folk art trees. They are decorated with homemade ornaments that hopefully the cats won't knock off. Happy holidays to you and your followers.
ReplyDeleteI have been decorating a little bit each week for a few weeks now. This weekend we will put up the Christmas tree and will be finished! Thanks!

I am so-o-o-o-o-o behind. Fortunately Christmas is not at my house this year so I think it will bee OK.
ReplyDeleteIts just my husband and me and we don't go all out. I put out my Mom's ceramic tree and this year I purchased 2 wrought iron "Twig Branch" tree to put som quilted ornaments on as well as 2 Wrought iron dee families. We're into rustic. I would love to add the Gooseberry Sampler book to my collection. I will be limiting myself to small quilts this coming year.
ReplyDeleteMy holiday prep has been a bit simpler this year. My family recently pushased a cabin in NC. This will be my first Christmas away from home. My gift to myself this year is to only put out a portion of the decorations. What a gift!
ReplyDeleteThe holiday is prepped and now is the time to concentrate on catching up with the Blockheads blocks!
ReplyDeleteTree is up, and grandkids ornaments wrapped. Busy making pajamas for the grands and trying to get to goodies! Looking forward to Christmas break!
ReplyDeleteWell, the tree is up and the extra decorations are put away. I always make pjs for the family but this year I bought every single one. Maybe I can at least bake cause I'm sure not going to get the sewing done. But I'm working the the Blockhead blocks. That counts. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWe have the outside decorated and a lot of the presents are bought. Mostly just some indoor decorating and baking left to do.
ReplyDeleteWe downsized this year to an apartment in the basement of our house, my daughter and her family live upstairs. I just began taking out my decorations, it will be fun to decide what will fit in our small space. Not much sewing going on this year.
ReplyDeleteHave only started to decorate and write my Christmas cards. I am going to send out quilted projects from past years to make space.
ReplyDeleteI just started decorating for Christmas, as we sang 3 services at church yesterday, for our Concert for the Christ Child. I need to bake cookies, too!
ReplyDeleteSusie
My Christmas preparations are pretty much under control. House and outside is decorated, xmas gifts made and purchased, gifts wrapped, cards sent, and some baking done. Still need to buy a few stocking stuffers and make another batch of cookies. Hubby and I will go off to Las Vegas this weekend to celebrate our 51st wedding anniversary before returning to clean the house for our Christmas celebration with our adult children.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte
This is the first year my son has said, "nothing quilted" on his list. :o( So I'm making quilted placemats for his MIL, instead.
ReplyDeleteThis year is a big change for us. I don’t know why but we are just so far behind in decorating that we put the tree up and no decorations this year. A big change for someone who used to put up 10 trees. We are celebrating early this year so my children don’t have to run like crazy on Christmas. I am having it catered, making a few of their favorite dishes. My sister and her family will be here. I have games planed for the kids. Pin the ornaments on the tree, find the candy cane and the famous cake walk for prizes. It’s all about being together and family. Geri Sherwood
ReplyDeleteI have two large quilts at the quilter for my grandson and nephew for Christmas .
ReplyDeleteWe dont do anything special
ReplyDeleteLove Love Love your sampler and would love it under the tree, however for my beloved grandchildren I am putting up all the old favorites throughout the house and enjoying the joy ob their faces for the holiday decorations and special treats. A hug from someone you love make it all worthwhile and yes I am finishing projects. Cathy R
ReplyDeleteThe tree and decorations are up. No cookies made or cards sent...yikes! Sewing is on the backburner.
ReplyDeleteFinishing up 4 Christmas gifts hopefully. I am making one for myself and the other 3 are for my daughters. My project is one and one half inch squares that piece together to form an old red pickup truck with 3 Christmas trees in the bed. Binding and adding sleeve to back so it can be a table runner or a wall hanging. So cute!
ReplyDeleteMy preparations? Wreath for the door is on the dining room table waiting to be hung up.
ReplyDeleteJust got home after a month away. After I recover a bit, I need to get going and at least have a tree.
Preparations are just beginning. We can't decorate without the grands to help. We will get the tree up and then they will decorate. School is out soon!
