Blockheads II - Week #4

12" Roman Cross by Brigitte Heitland of Zen Chic

This week, Brigitte designed a 12" block with lots of opportunity for color options. I used red/tan/blue once again for one of my colorways, and classic KTQ for the other. It's an easy block with good-sized pieces, but take care adding the B-triangles onto either side of the D-square and C-rectangle (block corner units). The accuracy of your piecing here will determine how square and true-to-size your block finishes. This caution comes not because I had to rip out the first two corners of mine, just as a heads up. ;)

A favorite? That's like saying which one of your kids do you love the most. Right now I'm most drawn to Zen Chic because I love Grunge, Lisa Bonjean because well because gray is awesome and then there is Laurie Simpson who is using scraps from a variety of Minnick and Simpson lines who I'm totally obsessed with. Tomorrow it might be KT or Me and My Sister or who knows because I'm basically a Moda girl. I guess I'll have to give the answer my kids always use when asked who is Momma's favorite and that is none - because she hates us all the same. ;)
