Moda Pillow Talk Blog Hop

We're back from our quilting cruise and ready to jump right into the middle of the Moda Designer's Pillow Talk Blog! I am so honored to be included with such a talented, fun bunch of women. Don't miss any of them!

Usually before market, when most of us are really just sitting around counting the days until we can pack up and go, there will be an email from Lissa "inviting" us to participate in yet another of her brainstorms to promote Moda fabrics and designers. Compared to last year's 350 half square triangles, the pillow idea was a breeze! What fun to see everyone's versions of their life as a wife/mom/designer in fabric. My pillow is made like many toppers I've done in the past - two 14" quilted squares buttoned diagonally over an 18" covered pillow. The front is pieced or appliqued and often begins with a leftover block to coordinate with a quilt in progress. This pillow topper incorporates the Kansas Troubles block (our company logo) that has 4 sections (my 4 kids), 24 small triangles (Robert and I are celebrating 24 years of bliss next week) and eight primitive flowers (for our 8 grankids). Several of the grankids even chose the fabric and button for their flower. I tried to use as many different prints from the 33 fabric lines I've done with Moda over the past 10 years. Thanks, Lissa, for challenging us once again.

As for KT Pillow Talk, it's pretty tame out here in the country.
Something you may not know about me? I was in the Air Force for a couple of years with my first husband and high school sweetheart, went to college for almost a decade on the G.I. Bill and earned 3 majors and 2 minors before the money ran out - Social Work/Family & Child Development, Psychology, Spanish and Sociology. I worked as a Social Worker in Child Protective Services for several years until I was widowed with 4 kids under the age of 6. I moved back to Kansas closer to family, started quilting to have adults to play with, met Robert at a Church picnic - and the rest is history!

What do I wear to bed? The softest cotton t-shirt PJ's I can find - longer for winter, sleeveless and shorter for summer. On the bed - cotton flannel sheets 9-months out of the year (to help keep my cold feet warm)with several layers of quilts to pull up to my chin or kick off in the middle of the night. My favorite bedtime comfort is a warm corn bag (heated in the microwave) at the foot of the bed. I even had to make one for Robert this year 'cause I don't share very well. He's colder as he's getting older and I'm hotter. Funny how that works - I think we were both the same temperature for about a week last year.

Who sleeps on the couch and when? Neither of us - ever. When I used to have migraines, Robert would find "extra" work that needed his attention in town at the KT studio and stay there (not too bad since he had his pick of a dozen beds). Now, when he's on call all night for the ambulance service, he stays in town. Once in a while, it's a nice break from his snoring, but I still miss his warm(er) feet.

We're both trying to eat a little healthier, so late night snacks have switched from cookies to apples, buttered popcorn to plain. Sometimes on the weekends, we'll have a little Captain Morgan with our Diet Cokes and sleep in a bit. I'm almost always up later than Robert, watching TV, catching up on emails, or reading the latest quilting magazine. He wakes up early and goes to town with his dog, Gus, hoping he doesn't wake me up in the process.

My favorite pillow used to be down/feather. Since we bought a Tempurpedic bed, the pillow of the same material works great. Our most fun pillow fights are with some of the grankids - Cooper-10, Delainey-4, Aleece-6 & Rowan-8. Now that they're all getting bigger and stronger, we've switched to throw pillows instead of bed pillows!

Thanks for stopping by KT on the Moda Pillow Talk Blog Hop. Go to ktquilts.com for a free pattern of the pillow above. Share one of your pillow talk secrets here by the end of the blog hop (Feb. 20th) for a chance to win a Perennials fat 1/8 bundle - in quilt shops now!

Be sure to visit Kate Spain's blog tomorrow at katespaindesigns.blogspot.com.

  7. I love the pillow! I stay up late watching TV in bed since I retired a year ago. I get up whenever I want. My retirement rule was I was not going to get up until it got light outside. :) And, I don't! I love your fabric and always pick it out first when it comes out. I still use my Lucy's Sewing Kit. I hope I win! Thanks. Connie

  8. T-shirt and shorts or flannel sleep pants. I despise getting all twisted up in nightgowns, DH says they're great birth control though. (lol)

Have some charm pack of yours, just waiting patiently to be turned into something lovely. Thanks for the opportunity to be in the drawing.

  9. Beautiful pillow! I crawl into a warmed up bed with flannel sheets every night because I'm freezing. By the time I am all cozy, the covers get tossed onto my long-suffering husband of 28 years, so he can get extra cozy, until I wake up freezing again because I have no covers! I'm still wondering why he puts up with me :)

  10. I sleep in very soft flannel gowns/winter short soft cotton in the summer. I don't like to get all twisted up the middle of the night. I love your patterns and fabric. You have a blessed life. I was a widow with 2 small children at 1 time in my life and God sent me another wonderful husband also. Very Blessed. Hope I win

  11. I adore your fabrics ... all of them. KT is the first line I learned and purchased and have loved you ever since beginning to quilt. I really like your idea of using a 14 inch block over an 18 inch pillow ... really cool.

I rely on my t-shirt and shorts for bedtime wear and read either books or blogs until I drop off to sleep. Thank you for this giveaway chance.

  12. I love your fabric and I am working on a quilt right now with the Summer's End line. I usually go to bed early because I need to get the kids off to school early. Then, sometimes a short nap after they leave :).

  13. I'm in love with the Perinnials fabric. Thanks for the pillow pattern. My neighbor has a bed and pillow like yours and seems to like it very well.

  14. Your pillow is beautiful - so thoughtful too. I always have a slice of cheese (usually smoked gouda) before bed.

  15. Love the pillow. I'm a late to bed early to rise kind of person. I try not to snack after supper. I sleep in a soft t-shirt and this winter we have an electric blanket on the bed. It's great to get the bed warmed up then we turn it off. Thanks for another chance to win.

  16. I love your pillow! I don't sleep well most nights. I often go to bed at a reasonable time, then get up around 2 or 3 am. Sometimes I get up and start sewing, or do housework, or bake. But I do try to get some sleep. I love my squishy pillow. My husband always tries to take it from me, but I always get it back. LOL!! Thanks for the chance to win.

  21. Love the pillow. It´s so nice to get to know more about your favorite fabric and pattern designers, this pillow talk is a great thing. I usually sleep in a sleeveless top, but in the winter it´s a t shirt and maybe some socks because it´s colder ;-).

  22. I love your pillow - especially the grankids helping with their buttons. I go to sleep each night with a Riversong Contour Pillow - a cervical support pillow made of muslin and filled with buckwheat hulls. I have a travel size one which I take everywhere with me.

  23. What a lovely pillow! I'm loving reading each story. Pillow Talk secret. Foam pillow ever since I can remember. I take it with me on every trip, too! DH & I slept in separate beds for several years b/c of his snoring (funny as we had our babies during those years! LOL!), but with us BOTH in cpap masks/machines, we make an attractive bedtime couple now. ;)

  24. I'm a night owl. I can start working on a project and it's 1:00A.M. before I know it. When it comes it pillows the type doesn't matter so much as the number I sleep with four. Most of which have a case that matches one of the quilts I'm snuggling under.

  25. Thanks for your beautiful pillow pattern. Love, love all your fabric lines. I've been a fan for years. My favorite bedtime comfort is also a warm bag heated in the microwave but I made mine from Polar Fleece fabric and filled it with rice. Thanks for sharing.

  27. I grew up in Kansas, learned all my best quilting moves in Kansas and my best "pillow talk" was when I was little and visiting grandma's house in Osborne, Kansas. Grandma told the best stories with crazy voices and singing when it was bedtime - she was incredible! If you absolutely HAD to go to sleep, that was the best way ever to do it. Been a Kansas Trouble fan for a long time - & have always loved your designs - I especially love the new Border Garden! Beautiful!

  28. I'm so happy you used that GI bill to get a lot of education!! My uncle is in the military and will be using that bill very soon!!! I've never been to your blog before so when I leave this lil message I'm going to have to take a trip around!! I hope you have a lovely week!

  29. Just love you new line Perennials.....
Pillow talk hum I just like evry evening to see the kids sleeping, entering each bedroom quietly and after have a cup of tea....of course that was years ago because now they start to leave the nest!

  30. Love your pillow (all the symbolism which makes it so special)and thanks for the free pattern. The pillow I lay my head on every night is a therapeutic one designed to relieve neck pain. It has a water bladder in the middle surrounded by a polyfil material. I never leave home without it.

  31. Thanks so much for sharing about your life in your blog, it was fun to get to know a little about you. What a survivor you are! I love the pillow, out of all the ones so far that is one that would fit perfectly in my home, I am country all the way.

  38. I love the pillow, but I am not finding the pattern at the KT site. Hmmm.

I like to sleep in jersey tee-shirt types of nights shirts. I can't stand to sleep in pants. I use lots of quilts and then kick 'em off at night too! I usually go to sleep with the t.v. on and then hubby turns it off when he comes to bed.

Thanks for the chance to win Lynne!

  43. I love the Perennials line. What gorgeous fabric! I go to bed so early that some people find it amazing. I start my nightly ritual about 7:30 which will ensure I am asleep by 9. But boy those chickens have nothing on me in the mornings.

  76. Hi from North Texas. I like to go to bed early. I don't like falling asleep on the couch--when I'm tired I go to BED! I don't like waking up to have to go back to sleep! So I don't "sleep" on the couch. But hubby likes to stay up as late as possible and often falls asleep on the couch. In the middle of the night, he'll wake up to have to go back to sleep. Just doesn't make sense! :D

  108. Thank you for the pillow pattern - lovely! I wish that big chair magically appeared if you made the pillow. I love PJ's for bedtime - the softer the better. One of my favorites is the set with the Pittsburgh Pirates sleep pants. My husband wears his, too, and once pretended he had mine on by accident, which would be a "stretch" at best! I believed him for one second, even though I had my own on at the same time.

In the winter it is all flannel pjs and sheets for me. Nice and warm and comfy.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Wow, to the pillow, I will be making this one. In fact a couple. I also, love your story and the meaning for the blocks. I learned so much about the you. Hubby has a bad back, sleep in separate beds.I sleep with a feather pillow. Thanks again for the giveaway.

  112. My secret is I like to put my PJ's on early and on home days even wear them all day - now that we live in the country - no one drops by, so it's great!
    Thanks!!♥

  113. Pijama and socks, till my hubs rejoin me (then non more need). Early to bed, early up in the morning. I love that. :)
Congrats for your pillow: I do like that primitive flowers!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Oh!! Forgot my pillow talk comment - I sleep in a soft tee and flannel pj pants - under 3 quilts and with 4 pillows. Thanks for the lovely prize for this giveaway. Everything you make turns out pretty. Best wishes for another 10 years of KT fabric designs. alternate email mlwright29 (at)hotmail(dot) com
Now I'm off to look for the pillow pattern.

  115. Okay I snore, and as I have got older its got worse, I even wake myself up sometimes!! Our Jack Russell snores too - loadly - my poor hubby occasionally retreats to the spare bedroom just to get some sleep. Thanks for the lovely pattern and the giveaway.

  116. That pillow is great. As for me and my hubby: we've never intentionally slept on the couch. But we have 4 kids and the oldest is 6, so sometimes a few hours in the middle of the night is normal. He tried to sleep on the couch the other night because I had a migraine and he wanted to let me sleep and get better and he took care of our kids. But I couldn't sleep without him, so he came back to bed just for me.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Love the pillow! I am an early riser and I sleep in a t-shirt and pj pants. I'm sure my husband loves that! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  118. What a sweet story about how your pillow came to be, and all the love it represents.
I love cotton knit pajamas. Soft and cuddly and COMFORTABLE!
Thank you for designing such wonderful fabrics!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Thanks for sharing a FREE pattern! How great!!! I am strictly a jammies girl...no nightgowns for me :)

    ReplyDelete
  120. I love your blog! I'm so glad I'm following this hop and finding some great new-to-me blogs and learning fun things! Your pillow is beautiful -- thanks for sharing!

  121. Your pillow is beautiful -- thanks for sharing. Like so many others, this time of year I love my soft, cozy pj's.

    ReplyDelete
  122. What a fun post and a great way to get to know our designers better.
My secret? I always have cold feet too!! Most of the time in winter I sleep with my socks on.
    Thanks for the pillow pattern.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Thanks for sharing a beautiful pillow and story about yourself. My favorite part about these hops is getting to know the designers in a new way. I like the wear nightgowns and also use a corn pillow on occasion. We also have an electric mattress pad, which is wonderful!

    ReplyDelete
  124. My husband and I rarely sleep together because I have to get up at 4 a.m. for work. And I snore really badly. I love the pillow talk hop and the fun designs.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Thank you for sharing the pillow pattern, I know I will enjoy making it. I love to sew at night. My husband is in bed early so I set up my sewing room next to our bedroom. He says he enjoys the noise of the machines as he goes to sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I have always adored your lines, so near and dear to my heart. I am an early to bed person, almost always have been. Even when my husband and I were dating, he was always dropping me off around ten. Otherwise I would 'turn into a pumpkin' according to him. He obviously loved me anyway!

    ReplyDelete
  127. What a great giveaway, thanks for sharing. I used to wear nightgowns always and as I've gotten older I prefer soft, cotton pj's. I know what you mean about the change in hubby colder and me warmer....must be that age!

    ReplyDelete
  128. Thanks for having us over! This is my first visit but I'll be back! My husband and I aren't the same temperature either, so there's a quilt on only my half of the bed!

    ReplyDelete
  129. Early to bed for me!!!!! Love your pillow and the meanings behind it make it very special for your family.
    Jill

    ReplyDelete
  130. I adore your pillow! I have some special fabric I have been saving that your pillow is tempting me to cut! My pillow talk is that when we go to bed, I have to play video games on my Nintendo DS for my husband as the movement and sound puts him to sleep like a baby!

    ReplyDelete
  131. What a beautiful pillow! I love your fabrics. I used to do the late night snacks too, but cut them all out a year ago, and lost 25 pounds!!!! Thanks for participating in Pillow Talk.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Love the pillow, your fabric line is one of my all time favorites. It's early to bed and early to rise. I'm a morning gal :)

    ReplyDelete
  133. I like to stay up later than DH to just be by myself sometimes I stay up and sew til late. I like to sleep in soft jersey jammies. Koye

    ReplyDelete
  134. Lynne, I'm glad you're included in this "hop" and I love your pillow! At our house, my DH and I have just a sheet and a down comforter on our kingsize bed, but then on "his" side, because he's always cold now (after working outside for over 20 years), he has a single electric blanket which keeps him toasty on his side and I can stay "cooler" on my side, if you know what I mean.LOL Rose

    ReplyDelete
  135. I know what you mean about having cold feet. I've thought about getting a type of grain bag to heat up before going to bed, but for now just warm them up in the tub and then immediately jump into bed. I also sleep with a couple layers of quilts, especially in the winter time, can be as many as five at times.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I'm also one who is usually up later at night than my husband. I like to read stuff online or just clean up my kitchen before bedtime. Then I'm also up later in the morning than my husband.

    ReplyDelete
  137. We play ring-around-the-rosies when it comes to bedtime. Depending on which kid is sick determines whose bed I sleep in. I like to sleep next to the kids when they don't feel well. My poor hubby. I like to stay up late after everyone goes to bed and flip through design magazines or blog hop. There are so many fun projects I want to do. Problem is, finding the time. My fabric stash is growing...yet my projects are mostly on hold with a new little one. I would love to add more great fabric to my stash. Thanks for the opportunity.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Love your fabric. My husband and I have had to invest in an electric mattress pad. I turn mine up so it's toasty when I get in and he barely turns his on.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Well, last weekend was my first anniversary of being re-married. And so I am still going to bed at the same time as my DH..it's the only time we get in the day to really talk things out. I recently made him a handwarmer with microwaved beans, and he was amazed at this clever little idea. :) So I am now going to make another for him to use in bed for his cold toes! I loved your changeable pillow idea..Thanks for sharing today. - Denise

  140. It's just our ritual (Superman & me) to crawl under the covers and read or play games on our cells. That's how we get sleepy and ready for our pillows. :)

  141. One of my weaknesses is buttered popcorn at night...that's awesome you were able to switch to the healthier version :) Thanks for the opportunity to win some great Perennials fabric!

  143. It's a great pillow pattern. Kansas Trouble is such an appealing pattern. For my best sleep, very soft cotton sheets help. I try not to eat to close to bedtime but when it's cold a cup of hot cocoa warms me up.
    Linda

    ReplyDelete
  144. Thanks for the pillow pattern! Like you, i am trying to keep my bedtime snacks healthier - which frankly means I skip it more often than not because carrot sticks or fruit just do not have the appeal of warm cookies!

    ReplyDelete
  145. My secret snack? Animal crackers in the big tub from Costco. I have a dish of them with hot tea in the winter and cold tea in the summer. They're just so yummy! And I always have a little dish of them next to me when I'm working on a quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Thanks for the giveaway chance. I can't stand nightgowns - I end up with a bundle of fabric around my waist. T-shirts and pj pants for me.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Early to bed (around 9:30) then read for about 30 min. and early to rise (around 6:00). Seems the older I get the colder my toes get which hubby does NOT appreciate in the middle of the night. Took my first class while living in Coeur d'Alene, ID 31 years ago and have been quilting off and on since then. I love the piecing aspect of the process and truly enjoy seeing how all the fabrics fit together in the end product.

  150. I love the story behind your pillow design! I think it's great the grankids chose the fabric and button for their flower, what a great way to include them!

Definitely early to bed for me, I'm more of a morning person. Since my hubby is more of a night person and works crazy hours as a medical resident, he often falls asleep on the couch in front of the tv after I go to bed and doesn't come to bed until after midnight!

    ReplyDelete
  151. Having real problems with my being warm and he being cold - could not handle flannel sheets, and usually only need a single blanket. Lived in AK for 32+yrs and always needed an open window. Love your fabrics - thanks for the opportunity to win some.

    ReplyDelete
  152. I've enjoyed all of your patterns and this beautiful pillow doesn't change my mind. Your Perennial fabric line is wonderful.

  154. I love the primitive look of all of your work.

  155. I usually wear a flannel granny gown summer and winter; nights are very cool on the Atlantic Seacoast of Nova Scotia. Recently I outdid myself during a spell of subzero temps, and retired with fleece pj's under the granny gown and a handknit hat tied under my chin - thank goodness I didn't have a chimney fire in that getup!!!
Love your pillow - love your fabrics and patterns, too.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I love the pillow pattern and the idea of wrapping the pillow in fabric instead of sewing! Thanks so much for sharing the pattern for free. I sleep in absorbent cotton year round...this sweating phase has to end eventually...doesn't it??? LOL!

  157. I'm a night owl. I love the peace and quiet that late night brings. Thanks for the chance on your lovely fabric!

  161. Your pillow is so organized! I love it!
As for some pillow talk: I wear an Express LBD to bed - soft cotton knit. I couldn't ever imagine wearing it out in public, but it's perfect for bed.

  162. Love that you included so much into your pillow...so many links to your life. Love your fabrics, too. Keep up the good work!

    ReplyDelete
  165. I love your designs and fabric collections. I have a quilt started this winter from your last collection.

    ReplyDelete
  166. I love your pillow and have been a fan of your fabric collections for years! It has been so cold here in the NW PA that my dog now has to sleep under the covers too! Thanks for the giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Down pillows are my favorite since I can scrunch it up into any form. Thanks for the pillow pattern. I can see where ti would be great in a quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I liked reading your pillow talk. I wonder if it's weird to share such details with total strangers. Thanks for that! It somehow makes the designs more meaningful when you know the person's history. :)

Pillow talk: I sleep with a down pillow, a down body pillow (to keep my spine from hurting), and usually start out with my hubby in bed; by the end of the night, my 8 year old and my 25lbs dog 'appear' in our Queen sized bed. (Lucky my 10 year old and large dog don't join, too!)

    ReplyDelete
  169. I love that pillow. TY for sharing the pattern! I go to bed early, sleep in non-co-ordinated pjs which are cosy, and love pillow covers - great way to try new techniques and colorways without committing to a big project.

  174. Love the pillow! Thank you for the pattern to make one. A pillow secret at our house happens in the morning when the dogs try to wake us up. We each pretend we don't hear so that the other will get up and take the dogs out. Somehow I don't "win" very often :-) I'm a softy to my dogs. Thanks for the chance to win KT fabric. I love it!

  176. Lynne, loved the pillow and the chance to learn a little bit more about you, thanks so much for sharing so generously. KT fabrics have been so much a part of my quilting journey, every time I use them in a project it's like visiting with an old and trusted friend. I too sleep in a cotton tshirt and pajama pants in the winter, just the tshirt in the summer and I have to have two pillows, always, where ever I am. Hope spring and warmer weather is on the way soon!

  177. I always have to eat something before I go to bed, or I'll never get to sleep!!! (almost always a pbj sandwhich)

  182. I love your pictures of your yard as much as your quilts! Gardening and quilting are such comforting hobbies. I would be overjoyed to win a collection of your perennials line. I'm a bedtime book reader but enjoy nonfiction, quilting books get me too excited to sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  183. The pillow is wonderful! My PJs are always yoga pants, and my husband's old t-shirts. I've spent more nights on the sofa than I can count! With back problems, and my husband's snoring, sometimes I cuddle up with a quilt on the sofa and enjoy the change of texture and silence!

    ReplyDelete
  184. I have always loved KT! Thanks for sharing a part of your life.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Love your pillow! I will definately check out the pattern. Thanks!
Winter gets pretty cold here. So flannel pajamas & socks are for me!

    ReplyDelete
  186. I love to cuddle under lots of covers. The weight of them is so reassuring. I've put your blog in my reader. I love your designs. I'm going to go look for the pillow pattern right now. This is my favorite so far on the blog hop.

    ReplyDelete
  187. My husband goes to bed a little earlier than me, and when I say Okay, I'll be up in a minute it really means, "okay, I'm going to sew for awhile and I'll be up in an hour." I think he's beginning to get it though!

    ReplyDelete
  188. I like your pillow, especially what it stands for. I too am blessed with a 2nd husband whom I love very much. Thanks for the chance to win some of your fabric.

  189. I don't make many pilows o I don't have a secret to share. I like to make mine with an envelope back so you can just slip the pillow form in.

  190. Thanks for the cute pillow pattern. Your patterns are always so doable. Thanks for sharing on here.

    ReplyDelete
  191. I would love to win the fabric! It's beautiful. My secret? I have more flannel pajamas than one person could possibly need!

    ReplyDelete
  192. I love your pillow and how you have made it so personal! Thanks so much for sharing your pattern and for the giveaway. Your new line is as lovely as all the previous ones. One of my local shops always has at least one quilt in your fabrics on display.

    ReplyDelete
  193. I love your fabric lines...33! Wow! The pillow pattern is so you. Thanks for a chance at the giveaway. I sleep on the couch every once in awhile. My hubby and full sized lab take over the bed and they both snore. Sometimes you just gotta sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  194. Your pillow is just beautiful! My sleep situation is complicated. Because my husband snores, shouts and constantly moves, I often sleep in the 3rd bedroom/sewing room. But when we do sleep together, we each have our own sheet and quilt. I sleep in a variety of things...soft nightgowns, pj's, or sometimes even a long sweatshirt. :)

    ReplyDelete
  195. Gorgeous fabric! Thank you for showing us how to make something so personal. It's not always easy to share your life with others.
I enjoy flannel sheets year-round for their cozy softness. We keep our bedroom very cool in the winter and use an electric blanket warm up the Tempurpedic mattress. Sweet dreams!

    ReplyDelete
  196. The pillow is just wonderful! Kansas Troubles is a great block. How fun to include so many meaningful numbers in this pillow. Hmm, a pillow talk secret--I guess I'll share that I sleep with socks on for about 6 months of the year, even though I live in Sunny SoCalif. If my feet are cold it keeps me kind of awake and I feel tired and cranky the next day. I may rip them off in the night if I get hot, but I start out with them on.

    ReplyDelete
  197. Love your pillow -- not something I would normally gravitate towards but now I'm itching to make it. While I love my bed, my couch is so comfortable - sometimes at night when I can't sleep I go sleep downstairs...although my DH is so nice he sleeps on the floor next to me.

    ReplyDelete
  198. Thank you for your wonderful pillow tutorial. The fabrics are gorgeous. I love to sleep in pure white, cotton sheets all year round.

    ReplyDelete
  199. Your pillow is wonderful and I love that each piece has a special meaning for you. I go to bed with 2 pairs of socks on as well as a heated mattress pad. Through the night, I slowly start stripping off the socks, turn off the heating pad and finally throw back the covers.
