Welcome to another Christmas charm pack, Kansas Winter. A couple of years ago, we featured KT precuts in a couple of fun wintertime quilts. Snow Day starts with a Layer Cake, then easy piecing is embellished with raw edge snowflakes.
A Chance of Flurries uses a Jelly Roll to create the pieced vertical strips with raw edge swirls of snow and blanket-stitched stars for a touch of Brrrrr. Any Christmas fabric would yield great results and now is the time to look for them at your favorite quilt shop. The winner of this week's charm pack will also receive both patterns. If you'd like them, too, we'll offer them both for $10 (a $16 retail value). Send me an email and we'll ship them out via Santa and Rudolph.
I hope you're all enjoying the Moda Country Fair Blog Hop. Loads of fun today with Barb & Mary of Me & My Sister. I'm working on my free patterns and gathering loads of goodies for KT day on September 16th, so don't miss it!

Beautiful patterns...am now ready to welcome winter!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning... another cloudy day here in Ohio. It has been that way all week. That is okay...cloudy days make for good sewing days. Last year while on our vacation to Colorado I purchased a sampler kit. It was called Rocky Mountain Sampler. It was done with all Kansas Troubles fabric. I have three sampler blocks to go and it will be ready for quilting! I have done many things in between including a quilt that I sent off to the NJ Sheltie Rescue for them to auction off to make money for the homeless Shelties they have rescued. Shelties are my breed, I have three. Two of them have there quilts the other top is made but not quilted yet. She is young she will get it soon enough.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all these chances to win your great fabric and patterns! I love both of the patterns you have chosen and your Christmas fabric is good all year long!
Happy Quilting...
Bless the USA this weekend... it will be a time for remembrances!

ReplyDeleteI love the stars in the "Chance of Flurries" quilt! Thanks for another chance to win!
ReplyDeleteLove those Kansas Troubles fabrics, and when they are Christmas KT fabrics, that makes them even more special. Keep those creative ideas flowing and "design more fabrics and patterns than us quilters can ever buy and sew up in our lifetime". Loved that quote from your trunk show in Cherokee.

Lynne...
ReplyDeleteI am new to your blog, but not your fabrics! Have loved them forever, and was thrilled when moda started making the charm-packs so it was possible to actually have a piece of everything without breaking the bank! I have tried to get some of each line, but may have missed one or two lines along the way.... I have just learned that I will be moving soon, and will have a whole new house to decorate using your designs as my starting points... Thanks for feeding my addiction so beautifully!
A Chance of Flurries looks like it would alot of fun. Hope I win!
ReplyDeleteI just seen my sister's Cattail & Clover layer cake, sew sew pretty!
A Chance of Flurries is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteLove the Chance of Flurries quilt. I will be looking for your Christmas line of fabrics.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy your eye-catching patterns and fabrics!! :-) ... Hopefully, Oklahoma and Kansas will have normal winters this year... I have tied the stems of the gourds from my DH's last year's garden with scraps from your Perennial fabric collection which definitely add to the Harvest and Halloween displays in the living and dining areas of our home. Thanks for another opportunity to win from your fabric and pattern collection. Can't wait till September 16!!! What fun!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth patterns are great. I love your fabric lines!
ReplyDeleteAwesome as usual - we pray for Snow Days here in New York all winter long! Chance of Flurries? Pretty much every day from mid-November to the end of March! I love the names you've chosen for the quilts.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you come up with for the moda hop. I was just going through my stash and realized I had yardage of yours and decided it was too nice to use for this project, and enough to use for a full sized quilt. I really need to reorganize my fabrics again, lol.
